In recent years, Sunwah Group has shown particular interest in expanding investment and economic cooperation in Lào Cai Province. Earlier this year, Sunwah signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Lào Cai Department of Industry and Trade to develop a smart logistics platform, enhance import-export activities, and attract investment. Consequently, the group has organized several delegations, consisting of enterprises from various Chinese provinces to Lào Cai to explore investment opportunities and infrastructure development in the area. Discussions between Sunwah representatives and Lào Cai provincial leaders are expected to foster further cooperation in investment and logistics, contributing to the region's socio-economic development.

Beyond financial support, Sunwah Group has been actively involved in supporting Vietnam, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic. In August 2021, Sunwah donated over $200,000 worth of medical supplies, including masks, test kits, and protective equipment, to northern provinces, including Lào Cai, to help localities respond to the pandemic. Earlier, in 2020, the group contributed 5 billion VND to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Fund, along with 60,000 masks and medical supplies to ministries and organizations in Vietnam. These contributions played a significant role in controlling the pandemic in border regions and strengthening the friendship between Vietnam and China, while underscoring Sunwah’s strong commitment to community support and enhancing the Vietnam-Hong Kong relationship.
