DNHN - the Ngu Hanh Son Avalokitesvara Festival (Da Nang City) was held on a city-wide scale again, attracting tens of thousands of visitors and tourists.
Originating as a purely religious event, the Ngu Hanh Son Avalokitesvara Festival is now one of Da Nang's most significant Buddhist folk festivals. This is also an important festival for the spiritual life of the monks, nuns, and Buddhists in particular, as well as the people of the city of Da Nang in general, who possess unique and distinguishing characteristics.
Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee and Head of the Festival Organizing Committee - Ngo Thi Kim Yen, stated, "This year, the festival is being organized more professionally to attract a large number of people and tourists. And create more cultural bridges for countries with similar Buddhist cultures, promoting the values of the Marble Mountains in general and the Avalokitesvara Festival in particular ever more effectively.
Therefore, in its return, the Festival Organizing Committee has made efforts, constantly innovating to make the festival program richer and more appealing, better meeting the admiration and worship needs of the countrymen. Buddhists and travelers from far and wide.
With the spirit of promoting the traditions of Culture, Dharma, and Ethnicity and celebrating the Spring Festival in the home of the famous Marble Mountains with the solemn, civilized, friendly, and hospitable atmosphere of the city's people, tourists from all over the world will forever remember a legendary Marble Mountains - Da Nang that is rich in humanity, love, and youth.
The Ngu Hanh Son Avalokitesvara Festival is infused with Buddhist religious beliefs and is associated with a special national relic - the Ngu Hanh Son Scenic Landscape Complex, which represents the crystallization of Buddhist cultural values and Vietnamese tradition. The Ngu Hanh Son Avalokitesvara Festival honors traditional cultural values, contributing to the preservation and promotion of Vietnam's national cultural identity despite bearing the hue of Buddhism.
To organize a unique and refined festival based on the criterion "5 No": No thievery, robbery, or social ills; no wandering beggars requesting spare change; Do not litter, do not violate food hygiene and safety; Do not entice customers, raise prices or force prices; The Festival Organizing Committee has established a Sub-Committee on Security - Order, Sanitation - Environment and Health, led by the Deputy Director of the City Public Security Department with the participation of the Deputy Director of the City Police, to prevent the release of living creatures and the performance of superstitious rituals. Participation of relevant departments, agencies, and sectors to ensure both the promotion of the distinctive values of traditional celebrations and the maintenance of civility.
During the festival, eleven working groups were organized by the city police. There are three patrol and control groups, four blocking teams, two standing groups to ensure security and order, and two standing groups to ensure security and order for boat and car racing, with a total standing force of nearly 200 officers.
In addition, in collaboration with the Ngu Hanh Son District Police, the Hoa Hai Ward Police Department conducts traffic separation and regulation; surveys crowded areas to install surveillance cameras to control the situation, ensure security, and maintain order so that the festival can be held in a dignified and safe manner for tourists and locals. Participants attend the festival.
During the three days of the festival, visitors from all over the world are immersed in Buddhist-colored rituals that help them listen to the voice of love in their hearts and integrate with joy via 32 rescuers. the life of Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara, bringing peace and love into people's lives and overcoming all worries and afflictions of greed, hatred, and delusion...; These embodiments and aspirations can be found in the history of constructing and preserving our nation.
