DNHN - Techfest Vietnam 2023 endeavours to create innovative innovation ecosystems with the participation of the government, large corporations, and eminent domestic and international experts.
On May 23, the Ministry of Science and Technology launched Techfest Vietnam 2023, the National Innovation Festival. The ninth Techfest is expected to bring together thousands of innovative startups, assistance units, experts, and investors from a variety of technology fields, as well as domestic and international startup-related topics.
Department of Market Development and S&T Enterprises (Ministry of Science and Technology), State Committee for Vietnamese Overseas Vietnamese (Ministry of Foreign Affairs), Vietnam Science and Technology Enterprise Fund (SVF), Project 844 Office (ISEV), National Creative Startup Support Centre (NSSC), and units organised the ninth Techfest.
Techfest Vietnam 2023 is organised with the purpose of promoting innovation startup in areas where Vietnam has strengths and has proven to attract investment, such as Cong Cong. Education (EDTECH), Medical Technology (Medtech), Financial Technology (Fintech), etc.; At the same time, efforts to create innovative innovation ecosystems with the participation of government, large businesses, good experts at home and abroad to solve new eco-system problems. national and international schools.
During the inauguration ceremony, Deputy Minister Tran Van Tung expressed his hope that the National Techfest will assist in concentrating the resources of not only the State, but also corporations, companies, and localities, in order to promote the achieved results and preserve the model of establishing an active ecosystem.
Recognising the participation of over thirty technology villages at this year's Techfest, Deputy Minister Tung proposed promoting technology activities in each locality, as well as accompanying and assisting the development of the startup ecosystem. He stated that villages must continue to establish cards and solicit technological solutions, innovation, and creativity from locals, businesses, and foreign experts.
Dr. Pham Hong Quat, director of the Ministry of Science and Technology's Department of Science and Technology Market Development, stated that in 2023, many global challenges will be felt strongly in Vietnam. The weather and climate affect human health and economic difficulties... Mr. Quat anticipates that, with the participation of more than thirty technology villages, the members will contribute to solving significant problems in the real world.
Techfest 2023 brings together over 30 technology villages and has the appearance of new technology villages to solve problems in potential areas including smart agriculture, clean medicinal herbs, metaverse, techConnect Global, and transform numbers.
Central to Techfest 2023 is the national innovation start-up competition; investment connection activities are centred on supporting projects from the Institute and school associated with applicability. Multilateral dialogue between local authorities and businesses innovating creatively with domestic and international experts on analysing and evaluating fundamental issues in local socioeconomic development. Techfest 2023 also includes a variety of transfer activities, an investment connection model, and the formation of an open innovation studio laboratory, a local space formation initiative, and a digital space formation initiative. To pool resources for technological communities.
Techfest 2023 will promote innovation solutions in the field of food technology (Foodtech) in conjunction with tourism development and indigenous resource exploitation; global food security solutions and opportunities for creative startups, developing online platforms, e-commerce, and new business models to support market access and create breakthroughs for the sale of local products.
Techfest 2023 will also organise international events and strengthen cooperation with technological superpowers such as Australia, the United States, Canada, and South Korea...
These activities provide opportunities for Vietnam Startup to develop the market, attract international investment resources, and introduce and promote Vietnam's dynamic creative startup ecosystem to the international community.
The Organising Committee stated that this year's Techfest posed two new categories of problems: First, the solutions and platforms of logistics that ensure the supply chain during natural disasters and pandemics. Second, the technologies of clean energy that guarantee sustainable development.
At the opening ceremony, the technology villages announced that this year's Techfest objectives will be met through various initiatives.
Ms. Nguyen Huong Quynh, chief executive officer of Bambuup innovation connection Groups and businesses, has compiled a large number of ecosystem-wide problems.
Techfest will be the festival of all economic sectors, where all corporations and businesses will converge. In addition, Bambuup will work to improve the innovation capacity of provinces, state management agencies, and businesses through training programmes and international learning programmes; focusing on the introduction of Vietnam's open innovation start-up ecosystem to foreign countries, as well as bringing foreign startups and investment funds to Vietnam in order to increase the ecosystem's development opportunities.
