Overseas Vietnamese businessmen explore investment opportunities in Dong Nai

DNHN - The delegates said that at present, many foreign investors are interested in Dong Nai province. NVNONN businesses wish to cooperate with Dong Nai Young Entrepreneurs Association to connect domestic businesses with the international business community.
In 2021, the economy of Dong Nai province rose by 2.15 per cent. Total state budget revenue is around VND 62,366.8 billion, up 12 per cent from the same period last year and 132 per cent higher than the estimate for 2021. Dong Nai is ranked 20th out of 63 provinces in the Provincial Competitiveness Index for 2020, up to three places from 2019.
Along with the progress in economic development, the province's foreign affairs and people-to-people exchanges with countries in the region and the world have been increasingly expanded and developed, by the end of 2021, Dong Nai province has established 9 bilateral friendship associations with Laos, Cambodia, Thailand, Russia, Korea, Japan, China, France, and the United States; and 1 Vietnam-ASEAN Multilateral Friendship Association.

The Overseas Vietnamese Work Steering Committee has been consolidated to serve as a link between the Party Committee, government, and people of Dong Nai province and overseas Vietnamese living in the countries listed above. the world, as well as serving as a conduit for people-to-people contacts, cultural exchanges, and the promotion of goodwill between Vietnam and other nations.
Around 32,000 relatives live and work in nations and territories all over the world, and nearly 18,000 overseas Vietnamese relatives live in Dong Nai province. Dong Nai currently has around 20 Vietnamese businesses with overseas Vietnamese members contributing trillions of dong, primarily in the fields of services, education, and real estate.

Overseas Vietnamese have contributed to preserving their identity and promoting national cultural values through cultural and religious exchange activities, as well as building the image of Vietnam abroad and promoting Vietnamese culture, as well as promoting, spreading, and winning the love of friends from other countries, thereby enhancing Vietnam's position and prestige in the international arena.
Our expatriates' respectful and proud contributions to the country derive from each Vietnamese child's fervent patriotism, a priceless Vietnamese tradition.

The organization of the "Friendship Spring" program intends to meet and exchange with abroad Vietnamese in Dong Nai province and Ho Chi Minh City, according to Mr Nguyen Son Hung, Vice Chairman of the Dong Nai People's Committee. Simultaneously, listen to people's opinions with provincial leaders and functional agencies in the process of formulating and supplementing policies, creating favourable conditions for our compatriots to return home to invest and do business... to contribute to the province's overall socio-economic development.

The Dong Nai government is always concerned about and supportive of the problems and barriers faced by foreign workers living and working in host countries, as well as promoting their return to engage in economic and cultural development activities. As a result, the provincial leadership desires to acquire attention and resources as well as wisdom from our overseas and local relatives to create a vibrant and sustainable Dong Nai.
Many attendees presented proposals to the provincial officials during the meeting to attract investment from the NVNONN community.
Many foreign investors are interested in Dong Nai province, according to the delegates. NVNONN firms are interested in collaborating with the Dong Nai Young Entrepreneurs Association to connect domestic businesses with the international business community, as well as providing consultancy services to Dong Nai businesses interested in exporting agricultural products.
NVNONN enterprises also expect to have more opportunities to visit and inspect the field to gain a better understanding of how to best serve the investment.

Mr Phung Cong Dung, Chairman of the Committee on Overseas Vietnamese in Ho Chi Minh City, said at the conference: “We recently received feedback from foreign Vietnamese delegates visiting Dong Nai province. We expect that as a result of this meeting, the leaders of Dong Nai province and other departments would have more knowledge and credible contacts to invite possible investors. Study and put these suggestions into practice for the province's future development. The Committee on Overseas Vietnamese in Ho Chi Minh City is ready to act as a link between the province and overseas Vietnamese delegates to help put ideas into action”.
