Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh presided over a conference on the evening of March 9 to implement the Government's action plan to implement Directive 15 of the Secretariat on economic diplomacy and economic diplomacy. In addition to participating in the implementation of 15 Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) covering more than 60 countries and territories, including the world's largest markets, Vietnam is promoting the negotiation of FTAs with the European Free Trade Association (EFTA, consisting of four countries: Switzerland, Norway, Ireland, and Liechtenstein) and with Israel (VIFTA). In addition, Vietnam is one of fourteen nations participating in the Indo-Pacific Economic Framework for Prosperity negotiations (IPEF). In particular, Vietnam has emerged as a regional leader in the development of multilateral economic cooperation frameworks. Therefore, according to the Minister, Vietnam will have ample room to strengthen its international economic integration and expand its export markets shortly.
Minister Nguyen Hong Dien also proposed several key tasks and solutions to contribute to the successful and comprehensive implementation of the socio-economic development plan in 2023, and to develop and effectively implement the Government's action plan on economic diplomacy at this conference. Second, promote the effective implementation of international commitments, including commitments within the framework of FTAs to which Vietnam has acceded, to ensure sustainable development, with an emphasis on action program implementation. implementation of FTAs of a new generation (such as CPTPP, EVFTA, UKVFTA, RCEP...). Focus on promoting in-depth external economic relations, particularly economic relations with major and potential partners, to create leverage for economic development and domestic trade; concurrently, continue to negotiate and sign new economic links, bilateral and multilateral cooperation mechanisms with countries and regions associated with national and national interests.

Fifth, continue to promote administrative reform and facilitate trade; focus on removing technical "barriers" for enterprises to penetrate new and potential markets nearby; and promote the digital transformation program at the highest level in trade promotion activities, connecting supply and demand, and building and developing Vietnamese brands in foreign markets. Create favorable conditions for market expansion and export promotion by promoting the growth of logistics services and e-commerce, especially cross-border trade.
