A CAREER FAIR 2024 organised by UEH SHARING links 5,000 career opportunities

DNHN - In the series of events UEH SHARING - CAREER FAIR 2024, from 25th to 31st March 2024, the programme received nearly 6 billion VND in contributions from many businesses, and partners and more than 5000 job opportunities were offered to job seekers.

The programme “Connecting the community - Spreading knowledge - Sustainable action” was implemented by UEH in 2020 and has become a bridge connecting a community of businesses, individuals, and organisations to contribute to the sustainable development of society and education.
In 2023, the programme achieved impressive results, including Promoting the upgrading of training quality and expanding job opportunities: 375 businesses and professional associations participated in the programme; more than 600 businesses participated in the survey to evaluate the quality of UEH’s student interns; 3,613 students participated in the internship programme, business semester; 1,874 students participated in the business tour; 42 extracurricular career orientation programmes, soft skills training for more than 7,100 students; nearly 4 billion VND from training programmes according to business needs; 6,110 job positions for students; 14 billion VND contributed to the Giving to UEH Fund sponsored by businesses, partners and individuals.
Creating a future of innovation and sustainable development: 27 new innovative start-up projects were incubated; 02 sustainable action projects “UEH Global Learning” and “Green University - UEH Green Campus”; 28 sharing of creative and development spaces. At the same time, empowering the younger generation to realise their dreams of becoming global citizens: more than 49.1 billion VND in scholarships to support dreams and develop talents; 4,237 poor and disadvantaged students, talented students received scholarships; more than 500 student events and activities with the participation of businesses. As well as organising 66 international workshops, national workshops, thematic reports on current issues, contributing to society; 701 scientific research topics; 530 research papers for the community, and published in international journals.

After the success of 2023, this year’s programme “Connecting the community - Spreading knowledge - Sustainable Action” 2024 with the beginning of the UEH SHARING - CAREER FAIR Event Series has connected 5000 jobs from 50 companies from the fields of Banking - Finance - Insurance, Securities, Accounting, Auditing, Consulting, Consumer Goods - Food, Technology - E-commerce, Construction - Real Estate, Export, Logistics, etc. As well as organising Techshow exhibitions to introduce new technology products, multi-disciplinary knowledge dissemination workshops, and research projects on sustainable development for businesses, learners, and workers.

The event also received nearly 6 billion VND in contributions from businesses and philanthropists to accompany the programme in implementing new goals: Nurturing and supporting young talents with 300 “Talent Development” scholarships and 300 “Dream Wings” scholarships; Upgrading facilities and modern equipment, aiming for an international standard learning environment, building a UEH branch in Nha Trang; Disseminating scientific research papers, applied knowledge, incubation activities, innovative start-ups, transferring knowledge from scientists, researchers, experts of UEH and partners to the community, together solving current social issues; Implementing community service projects, zero-waste schools, green schools - UEH Green Campus, digital transformation in education - UEH Global Learning, etc.

Prof. Dr Su Dinh Thanh - Director of Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics shared: “Taking our responsibility in the sustainable development of future generations, since its establishment in 1976 until becoming a Multidisciplinary and Sustainable University today, UEH has always strived and strongly committed to contributing to the sustainable development of society and education. Through this programme, UEH has worked with businesses and partners to: Promote the upgrading of training quality; Expand job opportunities for generations of students; Implement innovative and sustainable development projects; and Empower the younger generation to realise their dreams of becoming global citizens with support scholarships; Disseminate knowledge values to the community”.
