DNHN - Not only is she a leader of several famous brands in the F&B industry such as Phê La, Katinat, and Dì Mai restaurant, but businesswoman Trương Nguyễn Thiên Kim also possesses a fortune worth thousands of billions of VND on the stock market.
A billionaire businesswoman on the stock market
Mrs. Trương Nguyễn Thiên Kim, also known as the businesswoman behind a series of famous F&B chains such as Phê La and Katinat, has recently registered to sell 13.2 million shares of VCI through order-matching and/or negotiation methods. This is the first time Mrs. Kim has registered to sell Vietcap shares after purchasing 2 million VCI shares since 2019.
It is known that Mrs. Kim holds a master's degree in Finance. She started her career in positions related to quality control, market research, and accounting at various companies. In 2007, Mrs. Kim transitioned to the role of Head of the Supervisory Board at Phú Nhuận Jewelry Joint Stock Company (PNJ) before holding several senior management positions at major enterprises in the South, including Đông Á Bank Securities Company and Saigon - Chợ Lớn Investment and Real Estate Joint Stock Company.
Before registering to sell 13.2 million VCI shares, Mrs. Trương Nguyễn Thiên Kim owned more than 22.8 million shares, accounting for 5.17% of the company's capital, with a value of approximately VND 1,100 billion. If the transaction is successful, the number of shares she holds will decrease to more than 9.6 million units, equivalent to 2.18% of the capital, resulting in her no longer being a major shareholder of Vietcap.
The owner of many famous F&B brands
In addition to the stock market, Mrs. Trương Nguyễn Thiên Kim is also the owner of many famous F&B brands. She currently holds the position of Chairwoman of the Board of Directors and General Director of D1 Concepts Joint Stock Company; Member of the Board of Directors and General Director of Katinat Coffee Joint Stock Company; and Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of Phê La Joint Stock Company.
Katinat Coffee was established in November 2020 with a charter capital of VND 38 billion, of which Mrs. Kim holds 84.211% of the company's shares. Phê La Joint Stock Company was established in December 2022 with a charter capital of VND 180 billion, with Mrs. Kim holding 51% of the company's shares. Currently, both Phê La and Katinat are popular beverage chains among young people, directly competing with major coffee chains such as Highlands Coffee, The Coffee House, Starbucks, and Trung Nguyên.
Meanwhile, Mrs. Kim's D1 Concepts Joint Stock Company also manages several other F&B chains such as San Fu Lou – Cantonese Kitchen, SORAE, Dì Mai – Vietnamese Restaurant, and Cafeda Coffee. These are mostly companies with significant charter capital.
