DNHN - Many Ocean City residents opt for "staycations" instead of packing their bags for a change of scene at coastal cities such as Nha Trang, Phu Quoc, etc. A series of vibrant festivals entice them, events and upgraded amenities right on their doorsteps.
Discover the privilege of ‘on-site tourism’ at Ocean City
During the summer, Ms Hai Minh’s family used to make a habit of ‘escaping’ Hanoi. Their destinations were famous coastal tourist cities such as Da Nang, Nha Trang, Phu Quoc, etc. However, everything changed when Ms Minh’s family moved to Vinhomes Ocean Park 2. Living in a lush green space with countless novel experiences every day meant that summer vacations were no longer part of the family’s ‘change of scene’ plans.
“There’s no reason to go far when you step out of your house and are greeted by the sea and greenery. What’s more, this summer there are even more major festivals and events being held, and many entertainment areas are opening, so for the 30/4 and 1/5 holidays and the whole summer, my family has decided to stay home!” – Ms Minh shared.
After attending the “Hello Summer 2024” Festival, which officially kicked off on April 20, Ms Minh became even more certain of her decision.

Held at the VinWonders Hanoi Wave Park water park complex (Vinhomes Ocean Park 3), the “Hello Summer 2024” Festival is a gift from the investor Vinhomes exclusively for residents of Ocean City. The festival programme starts at 4 pm every day, from April 20 to 27, with a variety of exciting activities, divided into 3 unique experience zones.
The Water Fun Zone, with over 20 giant water slides, allows residents to not only splash around in the clear blue water but also participate in activities such as wave jumping, water gun fights, etc. In particular, young residents will be guided by VinWonders trainers in warm-up techniques, correct sliding positions and recovery exercises.
Meanwhile, the Chill Zone, with its wide lawn, fine white sand and sea views, is naturally a favourite destination for romantics. In this open space, residents can quietly watch the sunset and take souvenir photos with the blue sea and white sand.
The third area – the Family Zone – is a place where families can bond through community activities such as workshops on green living, family health consultations, or playing games and competing in friendly matches together.

From 6 pm, a culinary feast will begin with a variety of unique regional speciality set menus, from the Hai Phong Food Tour set to the Hanoi 36 Streets set, the Southern set, the Western set and the For Kid set. The feast will take place in a romantic setting with music and will be lively with interactive games and prizes from the programme.
At 8:55 pm, residents will be treated to a special dessert in the form of a dazzling fireworks display, bringing a perfect day of relaxation at the “most liveable place on the planet” to a close.
“Experiences that were once only available at 5-star resorts can now be enjoyed right next door, just a few steps away. ‘Staycations’ like this are both economical and help family members bond and understand each other better!” – said Ms Minh.
Additional amenities, enhancing the quality of life
Alongside the “Hello Summer 2024” Festival, on April 26, Vinhomes officially launched K-Town – a district with a strong Korean influence in the Grand World shopping, entertainment and leisure complex. With its modern yet traditional architecture, K-Town will become an ideal destination for residents and tourists who love and want to check in and experience the style and culture of the Land of the Morning Calm.
Along with the festivals and events that are organised meticulously throughout the year, this summer, Ocean City will also see the investor add exclusive amenities, befitting its title of “the most liveable place on the planet”.
In the 1,200-hectare metropolis, to the east of the capital, the sports infrastructure is not to be missed, offering residents a wide range of choices. Of these, 16 international standard tennis courts at Vinhomes Ocean Park 2 have been started, which will make it the urban area with the largest tennis court complex in Vietnam. In addition to tennis, a golf driving range with a new and different design has been set up within the complex, allowing residents to access this prestigious sport right on their doorstep.
In particular, the Go-kart track will also be operational soon. This is considered a Mini F1 – a high-speed sport that attracts great interest from young people. The launch of Go-kart promises to create fun and bonding moments for teenagers and families in the metropolis.

Mr Tran Nguyen Ngoc (a resident of Vinhomes Ocean Park 2) highly appreciates the efforts of the investor Vinhomes in creating a green space, where “every step brings you to a thousand amenities” for the community of residents. From the perspective of a long-time real estate investor, Mr Ngoc considers the “Ocean District” to be a “money-making” address, with the potential to develop business models such as homestays and restaurants, as the demand for staycations among the people of the capital is very high.
“Districts such as San Ho, Sao Bien, Cha La and Hai Au are surrounded by many major amenities on all four sides and have convenient transport links. Not to mention that each district has a different style, giving guests a variety to choose from. This summer, along with the series of events being organised, these districts will be the place where tourists “flock to escape” – Mr Ngoc excitedly shared.
