Masan invests in a Food Industry Center worth VND3,500 billion in Hau Giang

DNHN - In Hau Giang, Masan has invested in a factory in South Song Hau Industrial Park since 2015. The project includes Masan Hau Giang Brewery and Masan Hau Giang Food Factory with a total investment of VND 2,700 billion.
At the Investment Promotion Conference of Hau Giang Province in July 2022, Masan Group Joint Stock Company received the investment policy of the Western Food Industry Center 2 project in Nam Song Hau Industrial Park (Chau Thanh district, Hau Giang province). The conference was attended by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and leaders of central and local ministries.

At this conference, Mr Dong Van Thanh - Chairman of Hau Giang Provincial People's Committee presented the investment certificate of Western Food Industry Center 2 to Masan Group. This is an important step to help Masan build a production and distribution centre to meet the demand for food products, cosmetics, drinks, etc., mainly serving the markets of the southwestern provinces and adjoining regions.
In Hau Giang, Masan has invested in a factory in Nam Song Hau Industrial Park since 2015. The project includes Masan Hau Giang Brewery and Masan Hau Giang Food Factory with a total investment of VND 2,700 billion. It is estimated that in 2022, this Center will bring in a revenue of 7,400 billion VND, create jobs for 600 local workers, and contribute to the state budget of 1,670 billion VND.

Following that success, Masan will continue to invest in the project of Masan Western Food Industry Center 2 with a total investment of 3,500 billion VND on an area of about 46 hectares. The project includes a food factory (about 21ha in area), a beer factory (canned, bottled, draft beer of all kinds, with an area of about 7.8 hectares, with a capacity of 100 million litres/year. ), a cosmetics factory (soap, detergent, polishing and hygiene products, with an area of about 9 hectares, the capacity of 400,000 tons/year) and warehouse and factory for lease (area of about more than 8 hectares).
Speaking at the conference, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh asked Hau Giang province to turn potential into material resources for development, and at the same time balance and harmonize the interests of businesses, people and the State. "The government accompanies businesses, is ready for dialogue, and listens to investors," the Prime Minister affirmed.
Mr Nghiem Xuan Thanh - Secretary of Hau Giang Provincial Party Committee said that the four pillars of the province's development in the coming time are industry, agriculture, urban areas and tourism. For the industrial sector, Hau Giang prioritizes selecting potential industrial enterprises and projects, making great contributions to the budget, and employers in the province. At the same time, attracting capable and experienced investors to invest in the infrastructure of industrial parks.
