DNHN - (CT) - Information from the Can Tho City Delegation visiting and working in France, led by comrade Tran Viet Truong, Chairman of the People's Committee of Can Tho City (September 25). working at the Vietnamese Embassy in France and the AIMF
Comrade Tran Viet Truong, who worked at the Vietnamese Embassy in France, thanked the Embassy for assisting the Delegation in connecting with partners and organising the Delegation's working programme in France. Can Tho has consistently promoted international affairs, contributing to the city's socioeconomic growth. Specifically, the city directs and disseminates a large number of documents and implementation plans pertaining to cultural diplomacy, economic diplomacy, the work of Vietnamese people abroad, and information connection... Specifically, the city is always proactive. Contact and consult with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on a regular basis in order to reach a consensus on solutions to diplomatic issues.
This working group also includes a number of companies that wish to expand trade and cooperation with French companies. The business trip is anticipated to strengthen friendly cooperation with Nice City (which signed an MOU with Can Tho City in 2011), particularly in the fields of health, education, tourism, and... To ensure Cooperative activities with the City of Nice and other French partners, Can Tho hopes that the Vietnamese Embassy in France will regularly provide the city with information and French cooperation needs so that the city can swiftly develop an effective coordination plan.
Mr. Dinh Toan Thang, the Vietnamese Ambassador to France, stated that Can Tho City's organisation of a trade and investment promotion delegation reconnected it with its sister city, Nice City, in conjunction with the commemoration of Vietnam and France's 50th anniversary. It is essential to establish diplomatic relations and a 10-year Strategic Partnership. We believe that the delegation's trip will create new opportunities for Can Tho to find a suitable French partner, as well as strengthen the already cordial cooperation between Nice and Can Tho. In addition, a number of French localities, including Can Tho - a region where French partners wish to cooperate and invest in the implementation of response solutions - are keen on establishing investment cooperation in Vietnam. Responding to climate change and fostering cultural traditions... The Vietnamese Ambassador to France is prepared to facilitate Can Tho and French partners communication. Concurrently, Can Tho will be regarded as one of the most important locales in the promotional efforts of the Vietnamese Embassy in France.
In a meeting with AIMF representatives, comrade Tran Viet Truong announced that the city of Can Tho had joined AIMF in 2018, in accordance with AIMF's principles and activities aimed at achieving good goals and promoting sustainable and modern development. Civilised, modern, and secure for humanity. In recent years, numerous AIMF grants have helped Can Tho achieve its sustainable development objectives. Can Tho has actively contacted and coordinated with AIMF, particularly AIMF coordinators in Vietnam and Phnom Penh (Cambodia), to participate in programmes and projects implemented by AIMF. This demonstrates Can Tho's responsibility and high determination to integrate into the Francophone community and Southeast Asia region.
Mr. Pierre Baillet, the AIMF's permanent secretary, stated that Can Tho is one of the Association's most important members. Although Can Tho was only a member of the association for a short time, it contributed positively to its movements and activities. In the future, it is hoped that Can Tho will strengthen the connection between Association members in order to share results and experiences in implementing activities of interest to the Association, such as change response experience. Improve the skills, life experience, and coping abilities of vulnerable forces (women and children) confronting the effects of urbanisation and climate change... Simultaneously, we will continue to link Can Tho with other locations in the Association that share similarities with Can Tho, so that all parties can share and develop together...
