DNHN - Vietnam's total export value from the beginning of the year to the end of May 2023 was $135.22 billion, a 12.3% (or $18.88 billion) decrease from the same period in 2022.
During the period beginning on May 2, 2023, Vietnam's exports of key commodities such as computers, textiles, etc. increased significantly. The sum of the country's imports and exports during the period. This represents an increase of 24.7% ($5.91 billion) compared to the first half of May 2023.
According to the General Department of Customs, the total value of imports and exports in May 2023 was 260.79 billion USD, a decrease of 15.3% (or 47.17 billion USD) from the same month in 2022. In which the price import-export value of firms with foreign direct investment (FDI) reached 180.59 billion USD, a decrease of 15.1% (equal to 32.03 billion USD). The import-export value of domestic companies reached 80,2 billion USD, a decrease of 15.9% (equivalent to 15.1 billion USD) compared to the same period the previous year.

Vietnam achieved a positive trade balance of 3.05 billion USD as of May 2, 2023. From the start of the year to the end of May 2023, the goods balance of trade reached a surplus of 9.65 billion US dollars.
The total value of Vietnam's export goods for the period ending May 2, 2023, amounted to USD 16.43 billion, an increase of 43.4% (equivalent to an increase of USD 4.98 billion) compared to the period ending May 1, 2023. Computers, electronic products & components (up 714 million USD, or 38.1%), machinery, equipment, tools & accessories are among the export items with notable growth. Other spare parts (up 632 million USD, or 48.4%), textiles and apparel (up 547 million USD, or 46.7%), phones & components (up 530 million USD, or 44.3%)...
The export of fruits and vegetables reached $422 million during the period of May 2, 2023, an increase of 1.8 times compared to the first period of the month, primarily due to an increase in durian exports.
From the beginning of the year to the end of May 2023, Vietnam's total export value was $135.22 billion, a 12.3% (or $18.88 billion) decrease compared to the same period in 2022.

Statistics from the General Department of Customs indicate that the export value of FDI enterprises' goods for the period ending May 2, 2023, amounted to USD 11.63 billion, an increase of 43.7% (equivalent to an increase of 3.54 USD). This brings the total export value of this group's goods for the first five months of 2023 to USD 98.9 billion, a decrease of 12.2% (equivalent to 13.78 billion USD).
Import value of goods increased during the period 2 May 2023 compared to the previous period 1, particularly in certain commodity groups including machinery, equipment, tools & other spare parts (up 137 million USD, equivalent to an increase of 8%), crude oil (up 106 million USD, equivalent to an increase of 30.4%), and liquefied petroleum gas (up 75 million USD, equivalent to an increase of 502.6%).
From the start of the year to the end of May 2023, the country's total import value of goods was 125.57 billion USD, a decrease of 18.4% (or 28.29 billion USD) compared to the same period in 2022. In this period, FDI enterprises imported goods worth $8.46 billion, an increase of 3.5% (equivalent to an increase of $285 million) compared to May 1, 2023. From the start of the year to the conclusion of the month In the fifth month of 2023, the total import value of this group of companies will reach $81.68 billion, a decrease of 18.3% (equal to $18.2 billion) compared to the same month of the previous year, accounting for 65.5% of the total import value.
