Vietnam Constantly Advertises and Promotes to Reach its Target of 18 Million Foreign Visitors

DNHN - According to the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, in 2024, Vietnamese tourism will participate in many international events such as the ITB Fair in Berlin (Germany), the International Tourism Fair in Korea, the ASEAN - China Fair, etc.

In 2024, the Vietnamese tourism industry has set a target of welcoming 18 million international visitors and serving 110 million domestic visitors, with total tourism revenue expected to reach VND 850,000 billion. To achieve this goal, the tourism industry needs to make efforts to implement synchronous solutions to promote policy-making and state management in specialised fields, while also increasing tourism promotion and advertising activities.

According to information from the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, in 2024, Vietnamese tourism will participate in many international events such as the ITB Fair in Berlin (Germany), the International Tourism Fair in Korea, the ASEAN - China Fair, the China International Tourism Mart (CITM), and the World Travel Market (WTM). At the same time, programmes to introduce Vietnamese tourism are also expected to be organised in many countries such as Australia, the US, Japan, Korea, China, Taiwan (China), and India.

The Vietnam National Administration of Tourism will also welcome delegations of businesses, the press and influential international individuals in some important tourism markets to survey and promote tourism. This includes Famtrips, and press from markets such as China, Taiwan (China), ASEAN, Europe, Australia, Korea and Japan.

According to forecasts by the World Tourism Organisation (UNWTO) and the World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC), international tourism could fully recover by the end of 2024, equivalent to the level achieved in 2019. However, the level of recovery will not be uniform in different regions and requires innovation in tourism promotion and advertising to adapt to changes in the demand of international visitors, including the application of information technology, artificial intelligence and digital transformation to create new and unique tourism experiences.
