DNHN - Mong Cai City Electricity (Quang Ninh Electricity Company) informed us that the connection of the 110kV line between Mong Cai (Vietnam) and Dong Hung (China) is currently in the negotiation phase and will be completed and put into operation shortly.

According to Mong Cai City Electricity, from the beginning of 2023 to the present, abnormal weather conditions have resulted in many years of below-average national precipitation.
Currently, the water level in many hydropower reservoirs is very low, and the fuel supply is difficult, so the operation of the power system in 2023 will be extremely challenging.
Northern Electricity Corporation - Quang Ninh Electricity Company has worked and signed a contract to connect the 110kV Mong Cai (Vietnam) - Dong Hung (China) power line, ensuring a continuous and stable power supply on the power grid of Mong Cai city.
The electricity in the city of Mong Cai will be temporarily cut off for 3-6 hours on May 22 to facilitate the connection.
Previously, on May 18, due to a lack of power and a forest fire in Vu Oai commune (Ha Long city), two 110kV power lines supplying power to 110kV stations in Ha Long city were affected. several wards in the Ha Long area were also affected. Consequently, some areas of the city of Ha Long have experienced intermittent power outages over the past few days, impacting the lives of residents.
Quang Ninh Electricity suggests that people use electricity sparingly, particularly on hot, sunny days, so that there is sufficient power for production and daily life.
