The General Department of Customs reports that State budget revenue from Vietnam's import and export activities reached VND 32,469 billion in October 2023, a 17.2% increase from the same month the previous year. On the other hand, this number dropped by 17% from the same time last year. The country's total import-export value is projected to reach 61.61 billion USD for the entire month of October 2023, an increase of 4.1% from the previous month. Between them, the value of imports rose by 2.9% to 29.31 billion USD and the value of exports by 5.3% to 32.31 billion USD. This data indicates that a trade surplus of USD 3 billion is anticipated for the trade balance in October.

According to a summary of the first ten months of 2023, there were 557.95 billion USD in total import and export values, which is a 9.6% decrease from the same period the previous year. The estimated value of imports during this period was estimated at 266.67 billion USD, down 12.3%, and the estimated value of exports was 291.28 billion USD, down 7.1%. The trade balance is predicted to reach a trade surplus of 24.6 billion USD based on the aforementioned figures, which is less than it did during the same time last year.
Additionally, the General Department of Customs reported that October 2023 saw budget revenue from import-export activities reach VND 32,469 billion, up 17.2% from the same month the previous year. Budget revenue from import-export operations reached 302,394 billion VND by the end of October, which was 17% less than the same period the previous year but still 71.2% of the estimate. This illustrates how Vietnam's import and export activities will fluctuate and eventually decline in 2023.
