According to Mr Nguyen Nhu Tuan, Deputy Head of the Information and Propaganda Department, Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs, the plan for 2024 is to send about 125,000 Vietnamese workers to work abroad under contracts. The three main markets that the Ministry focuses on are Japan, Taiwan (China), and South Korea, along with some other potential markets. These are efforts to increase the number of workers going to work abroad, especially in industries with high incomes and that are suitable for the qualifications and skills of Vietnamese workers.

To achieve this goal, the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs continues to implement many solutions to improve the quality of sending Vietnamese workers to work abroad under contracts, while stabilising and expanding markets with high incomes. Deputy Minister of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs - Nguyen Ba Hoan also emphasised the need to strengthen information and education on the rights, responsibilities and obligations of workers as well as state management agencies to improve the quality of their work when working abroad.
