Nghe An 90 businesses have a total tax debt of more than VND 465 billion

DNHN - The Vinh City Tax Department has just released a list of 90 businesses with outstanding tax debts totaling more than 465 billion dongs to the media.
According to the updated tax debt situation by the end of March 2023 of Vinh City Tax Department (Nghe An), Minh Khang Trading Co., Ltd (business address in District 5) is at the top of the list of tax debtors., Ho Chi Minh City), owes more than 318 billion dongs in tax, of which more than 312 billion dongs must be collected.
This company has the largest tax debt in the province of Nghe An. This enterprise implemented a project to build a complex of hotels, supermarkets, pharmacies-medical equipment trading, and houses in Nghi Phu commune (Vinh City), collected funds from hundreds of households to purchase land, but did not pay into the budget.
Currently, the business owner is being prosecuted and detained to investigate the act of "fraudulent appropriation of property"; consequently, this will be the largest amount of bad tax debt in Nghe An province, and will also result in the implementation of numerous systems. Other repercussions regarding the rights of land purchasers at the enterprise's project.
BMC Construction Materials and Commercial Construction One Member Company Limited (with an address in District 1, Ho Chi Minh City) is the second company on the list. This company owes more than 58 billion VND in taxes, with the amount to be collected exceeding 57.3 billion VND. This enterprise is also implementing several Vinh City real estate projects, some of which have remained unfinished for many years.
Third on the list is 16 Vinaconex Construction Joint Stock Company (with an address in Vinh City’s Truong Thi ward). This company owes more than 46,4 billion dongs in taxes, of which the debt to be collected exceeds 45,9 billion dongs.
Thanh Vinh Trading and Production Investment Joint Stock Company owe more than VND 7.8 billion in taxes (in Hung Binh Ward, Vinh City). The functional agency has requested in writing that the Department of Planning and Investment (MPI) revoke the business registration license for this unit.
The Construction Joint Stock Company No. 9.1 (located in the Quan Bau ward of Vinh City) owes more than 7,3 billion dongs in taxes and is subject to account coercion.
According to a representative of the Vinh Tax Department, the unit regularly organizes propaganda, advocacy, reminder, guiding, and support activities for tax-paying businesses and individuals. The measures and sanctions adhere to the procedure and legal provisions.
Given the size of the tax debt, the Tax Department of the province of Nghe An proposes several debt collection strategies, including assigning debt collection targets to tax departments, professional departments, and tax officers.
Simultaneously, promote and disseminate tax laws and policies and rigorously implement debt freezing, debt cancellation, exemption of late payment interest, tax extension by the Resolution of the National Assembly and other decrees, and related taxpayer guidance.
Tax Division of Nghe A province also publishes the list of tax-delinquent businesses and individuals in the media; coordinates with departments and branches to encourage and enforce debt collection; and coordinates with the Ministry of Public Security and the Immigration Department to issue exit notices to tax-delinquent business owners.
