DNHN - Foreign corporations such as Google, Apple, Facebook, Netflix, TikTok, and Microsoft have paid nearly 4 trillion dongs in taxes during the first half of the year.
According to data released by the General Department of Taxation on July 18, the amount of tax declared and paid by foreign suppliers to the State budget during the first half of the year totaled VND 3,944 billion.
In the past, the tax industry has prioritized propaganda and taxpayer support via mass media and specialized publications. As a result, 57 foreign suppliers registered, declared, and paid taxes via the Portal, including Google, Apple, Facebook, Netflix, TikTok, and Microsoft.

The General Department of Taxation also announced that the industry has advised the Ministry of Finance and the Prime Minister to issue Directive No. 18/CT-TTg to facilitate the development of the tax sector through the promotion of connection and data sharing. e-commerce. This is viewed as an important foundation for preventing tax deficits and ensuring financial stability.
Before December 15, 2022, the General Department of Taxation operated an official e-commerce portal to collect information about businesses and individuals conducting transactions on trading floors. There are currently 333 e-commerce information exchanges, with Shopee, Lazada, Sendo, Voso, and Tiki accounting for a significant portion of the market.

In addition, as of 30 June, 25,996 businesses had implemented electronic invoices through their cash registers, achieving 63.8% of the target. In six months, 10.36 million electronic invoices were issued.
To promote the electronicization and digitization of tax administration, tax authorities at all levels maintain and offer electronic tax declaration, payment, and refund services to more than 99 percent of businesses.
Additionally, the tax sector reported that it continues to implement projects to develop information technology applications. In the future, tax authorities will accelerate the implementation and expansion of electronic tax declaration and payment for business individuals, business households, and corporations.
