DNHN - In July 2023, according to the Hanoi Statistics Office, Ho Chi Minh City. Hanoi has 37 new FDI projects with a total registered capital of USD 22,2 million.
In the first seven months of 2023, the city as a whole attracted $2,282 billion in FDI. 233 newly registered projects with a capital of 97.5 million US dollars; 108 additional projects to increase investment capital with 193.5 million US dollars; 190 turns of foreign investors contributing capital and purchasing shares for a total of 1,991 billion US dollars.

According to statistics, Hanoi's export volume in July 2023 reached 1,406 billion US dollars, up 3.5% from the previous month and up 0.8% from the same month in 2022.
During the same period, export turnover increased for several commodity groups, including computers, electronic goods, and components (up 9.2% to US$211 million); machinery, equipment, and spare parts (up 2% to US$189 million); which means of transport and spare parts (up 21.7% to US$130 million); petroleum (up 16.3% to US$101 million); and agricultural products (up 88.8% to US$97 million). In general, the export turnover of goods for the first seven months of 2023 totaled $9.4 billion, down 2.9% from the same period in 2022.
According to the Hanoi Bureau of Statistics, the index of industrial production (IIP) in the city rose 1.6% over the previous month and 3.5% over the same period in 2022 in July 2023. In seven months, the index of industrial production increased by 2.5% compared to the same period the previous year, with the processing and manufacturing industry increasing by 1.9%, electricity production and distribution increasing by 7.9%, water supply and garbage and wastewater treatment increasing by 6.7%, and the mining industry decreasing by 7.0%.
