DNHN - Two railway companies, VNR of Vietnam and KTZ of Kazakhstan, have agreed to increase the transport capacity of cargo and containers, cooperate in the training of personnel in the fields of railways and logistics, and research.
Vietnam Railways Corporation (VNR) and Kazakhstan National Railway Corporation (KTZ) have reached an agreement to strengthen freight and container transport capabilities, cooperate in human resource development, and promote the implementation of green transformation in the railway and logistics industries. These are essential measures for promoting the sustainable and effective expansion of the international shipping industry.
According to the Government Newspaper (baochinhphu. vn), a working session between VNR and KTZ opened a new cooperation chain in the railway sector between the two countries. When they agreed to increase the capacity of transporting goods and containers via railway, particularly through the Dong Dang (Vietnam) - Ping Tuong (China) border gate, the cooperation relationship was strengthened. This is anticipated to reduce time and optimize costs associated with transporting goods between the two nations.
VNR and KTZ have also agreed to cooperate in the field of logistics, in addition to improving goods transport. This merger will utilize the infrastructures of both companies to develop warehouses and logistics infrastructure in Vietnam and Kazakhstan. It is anticipated that this will facilitate the transport of goods and optimize logistics operations.
In addition, cooperation in human resource development is in the sights of both parties. This can help improve expertise and skills in the railway and logistics sectors, as well as create qualified human resources to meet the rising demand for transport and logistics.
The study and implementation of green transformation in the railway industry is an additional vital aspect of cooperation. Understanding and applying green technologies, methods, and fuels to reduce the negative environmental impact of rail transport is a collaborative effort between the two companies.
Historically, Vietnam and Kazakhstan primarily transported their goods via the sea and the east-west corridor of the Chinese railway. However, due to the robust cooperation between VNR and KTZ, there appears to be a shift towards the use of direct rail transport between the two nations.
The initial cooperation between VNR and KTZ has demonstrated a commitment to the sustainable development and future potential of the railway industry, despite the existence of obstacles such as high rail rates and a lack of cargo volume sufficient to keep container trains running smoothly.
In the pursuit of a more efficient and environmentally friendly international transport environment, this remarkable partnership could be a crucial step towards striking a balance between economic growth and conservation. Environmental protection in the global transportation sector.
