DNHN - October 13 is not only an occasion to honor the achievements of the business community but also to recognize the relentless efforts of Vietnamese entrepreneurs in nation-building.
The business community as the backbone of economic development
Entrepreneurs, with their acumen and adaptability, have continuously innovated, improved production, and management processes. They have built strong brands, contributing to the enhancement of the value of domestic products and services, thereby creating many job opportunities for workers. Innovative startups are gradually becoming the pillars of the economy, asserting Vietnam’s position on the global business map.
Not only contributing to economic development, but the business community is also actively involved in social activities. They are pioneers in building charitable programs, supporting the community, and protecting the environment. Through these activities, entrepreneurs not only affirm the value of their enterprises but also demonstrate social responsibility, contributing to building a prosperous and civilized Vietnam.
Looking forward, entrepreneurs will continue to face many challenges, from international competition pressures to stringent product quality requirements. However, with the spirit of unity, creativity, and determination, the Vietnamese business community will surely overcome all difficulties and grow stronger.
On the occasion of Vietnamese Entrepreneurs’ Day on October 13, let us express our deep gratitude to those who have been and are contributing to the development of the economy. They are not only leaders but also builders of dreams and creators of the country's future. The spirit of Vietnamese entrepreneurs, with their enduring strength and dedication, will always be a guiding light for future generations.
On this special day, let’s honor the values that the business community brings and commit to accompanying them on their journey to conquer new heights. Vietnam is on the path of development, and the role of entrepreneurs, those who have helped build a brighter future for the nation, is indispensable.
On the afternoon of October 11, General Secretary, President To Lam had a meaningful meeting with representatives of the Vietnamese business community and entrepreneurs on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of Vietnamese Entrepreneurs' Day (October 13, 2004 - October 13, 2024) and the 79th anniversary of Uncle Ho's letter to the industrial and commercial sector.
At the meeting, General Secretary, President To Lam acknowledged and praised the great achievements that the team of entrepreneurs has contributed to the country's development. He also recognized the role of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) and various business associations in building a strong business community.
Speaking to the Business and Integration Magazine, on this occasion, Ms. Pham Thi Hong Thuy, Chairman of the Vinh Phuc Province Business Association, said that since 1945, entrepreneurs have played an important role in the construction and development of the country. Resolution 41-NQ/TW of the Politburo has elevated the status of entrepreneurs, encouraging them to develop even more strongly. Currently, Vinh Phuc has more than 16,000 businesses operating, making a significant contribution to the province's GRDP growth.
Ms. Thuy conveyed the message “Pride – Connection – Reach further,” expressing pride in the entrepreneurial tradition and a commitment to close cooperation between entrepreneurs and the government to build a prosperous future for the national economy.
Affirming their position and role in society
Meanwhile, Chairman of Vinh Phuc Provincial People’s Committee, Mr. Tran Duy Dong, also acknowledged the important contributions of the business community in the province and committed to continuing to create favorable conditions for businesses to develop.
The provincial chairman stated that the province’s GRDP in the first nine months maintained a growth rate of 7.95%, with thousands of new businesses being established, reflecting the strong vitality of the local economy.
In a statement on the occasion of Entrepreneurs' Day on October 13, Mr. Nguyen Viet Hung, Director of VNPT Vinh Phuc, said that digital transformation is not only a trend but also an urgent requirement for businesses to deeply integrate into the national and international economy.
Mr. Hung stated that Vietnamese Entrepreneurs’ Day is not only an occasion to honor the achievements of entrepreneurs but also an opportunity to build closer connections between the business community and the government, aiming to create a favorable business environment and promote sustainable development for Vinh Phuc Province and the whole country.
From the early days of the nation’s establishment, Vietnamese entrepreneurs have actively contributed to the national treasury and helped achieve victory in the struggle against “internal and external enemies.” Over many years of development, the Vietnamese business community has not only grown in quantity but also in quality, playing a crucial role in elevating the country’s GDP scale to the 34th position globally.
Today, there is a wave of Vietnamese enterprises confidently investing abroad and acquiring foreign companies, affirming a new stature and position. “Our country has never achieved such stature, potential, position, and international prestige as it does today,” in which the contributions of the business community are indispensable.
In Thai Nguyen Province, there are many reputable businesses and entrepreneurs of national and international rank, such as Thai Hung Trading Joint Stock Company, An Khanh Group, TNG Investment and Trading Joint Stock Company, and Nui Phao Mining and Mineral Processing Co., Ltd., with many outstanding achievements.
In particular, An Khanh Thermal Power Company, under An Khanh Group, is the first large-capacity thermal power plant completed on schedule with investment from a private enterprise. Nui Phao Mining and Mineral Processing Co., Ltd., with high technology, continuously contributes over VND 1,000 billion per year to the budget. Thai Hung Trading Joint Stock Company, ranked among the top 45 largest private enterprises in Vietnam, not only excels in the steel business but also contributes to building many large real estate projects and schools, transforming the urban landscape of Thai Nguyen.
Trung Thanh Co., Ltd. leads in supplying refractory materials and has expanded into many other fields, particularly metallurgy. TNG Investment and Trading Joint Stock Company, ranked among the top 7 largest garment exporters in Vietnam, has been honored many times as a sustainable development enterprise and is the first private enterprise in the province to list its shares on the stock exchange.
The business community and investors not only contribute to production and business but also create social value, building the country's image globally. They constantly think and nurture ideas to assert the Vietnamese brand and intellect on the international stage.
