CEO Nguyen Khac Nhat - CodeGym: Education philosophy and the miracle of charity

Mr Nguyen Khac Nhat was born in 1984, in Phong Binh commune, Gio Linh district, Quang Tri. He is the youngest son of a Phong Binh commune farming family. Seeing that Nhat's life was lengthy and sad due to a lack of language, his parents did nothing except care for their children and read from a book. Therefore, both are delighted to discover that Nhat enjoys writing letters. Even though he occasionally attends school on an empty stomach, he attempts to ignore his ravenous hunger to study. At that time, he was renowned at all schools for his accomplishments, which many of his contemporaries aspired to attain. Whenever he participated in the test for excellent students, he always won the award.

He excels in mathematics and chemistry, but informatics is his passion. This affection began in infancy. Mr Nhat was attracted to the computer from the moment he enrolled in the vocational training course. Unfortunately, the whole school had just two computers at the time, so Mr Nhat and his companions studied mostly with their eyes. Mr Nhat devised a plan to get a hardcover, redraw the computer keyboard, and then practice typing at home to become used to the new keyboard. Nhat's goals and aspirations were ignited by the paper computer keyboard and literature borrowed from instructors. He has always desired to own a computer and share his passion for information technology with everyone, especially students in rural areas. Nhat joined the Da Nang University of Technology with outstanding grades after graduating from high school and subsequently got a scholarship to study in Cuba.

He graduated from the University of Matanzas with distinction after achieving great achievements. At this moment, two fresh opportunities presented themselves to Mr Nhat. He may either continue his master's degree studies in Cuba or go to Chile to work for a huge corporation. Few people anticipate that he organized both chances to return to Vietnam.

"After six years apart, I believe I must return to my homeland to accomplish something," remarked Nhat.

In 2017, he collaborated with a group of pals to create the contemporary programming teaching system CODEGYM. Mr Nguyen Khac Nhat and co-Founders established CodeGym as a programming training system. CodeGym is the first organization in Vietnam to use the Coding Bootcamp training technique - a World Bank- and World Bank-approved strategy for providing companies with high-speed, high-quality IT people resources.

The International Telecommunication Union urges and encourages young professionals in various nations to seek career development opportunities. CodeGym provides 1,000 IT professionals to Vietnam and the rest of the world annually.

CodeGym chooses the output target. It makes no difference how long training lasts; what matters is that learners must be competent upon completion. In CodeGym, you are not required to study quickly or learn more, but you are required to study extremely hard, leave all other activities, and not even work part-time to make money while studying at CodeGym. Working more on motivation is beneficial, but additional occupations unrelated to your subject of study reduce learning efficiency; this is a short-term viewpoint.

Entering CodeGym is like entering a "cultivation" cave since it pushes trainees to concentrate entirely, even without eating or drinking. It is also an input condition that helps eliminate a large number of individuals who do not require or are not sufficiently decided.

He said that education must begin with a training concept rather than specifics. Philosophy is selecting a course of action. How picking a philosophy will be accomplished in the same manner. Different decisions will result in different strategies and entirely different outcomes. Either way, it will take a considerable amount of time to determine the outcome.

The effect of business philosophy on corporate governance results in a different point of view, a different company culture, a different style of planning, a different way of communicating, and a very different boss-employee interaction.

Kindness is the most essential concept to Nhat personally. Fortunately, both CodeGym and Agiead Global members share this value. As a consequence, both firms have included compassion in their philosophies and basic principles.

"When constructing CodeGym's Core Values, I asked the co-founders to list the qualities they value most, and all six individuals selected kindness. In business, one can win a contract or succeed in a strategy, but all of that is short-term. The long-term is one's life, which lasts between 50 and 70 years. Whether one wins or loses is determined by what they leave behind for the future, and leaving kindness can never be a mistake "- Mr Nhat said.
