DNHN - The tourist industry in An Giang province has set a target of 42 million visitors and income of VND 27,800 billion for the year 2021-2025.
To accomplish the above goal, An Giang province has actively promoted propaganda and promotion of the province's image, people, landscape, and nature, as well as licensed operation of unique new tourist projects; propagating and mobilizing restaurants, hotels, zones, and destinations to invest, upgrade, and build tourist facilities.
Launch exclusive destinations
Mr. Chau Hoang Minh stated that while the An Hao Solar Power tourist area has been issued a business license since February 12, 2020, it has only recently began to open to welcome people due to the lengthy pandemic. Businesses confront additional challenges during this new stage of recovery in terms of finance, human resources, and image advertising to raise tourists’attention.

Mr. Minh stated that while solar energy is not a new concept, solar energy tourism is a "foreign" term to the Vietnamese. As this is a new tourist site in An Giang, it is only sought after by "movie-loving" believers, but tourists are still unaware. A Hao solar power plant is considered a highlight, gracing the Bay Mountains environment.
Visitors can observe the attractive landscape, romantic space, and silver in the sunset from the highest point at the "Sao Mai Aquarium." By spreading their arms wide and inhaling deeply, visitors can experience the aroma of sunshine and wind on the border, or listen musingly to the sounds echoing from the mountaintop, the pale afternoon light, and the smooth green meadows hidden in the mountains. self-portrait beneath the gleaming solar panels.
"Sparkling lakes, periwinkle flower beds, winding alleys, vibrant bougainvillea roads, flocks of sheep hopping about the resort area... all combine to create an oddappeal for travellers. A resort powered entirely by solar energy ", as shared by a young tourist.

According to Nguyen Khanh Hiep, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, according to the Resolution of the 11th An Giang Provincial Party Congress (term of 2020-2025), one of the solutions for socioeconomic development during this period is to synchronously develop forms of spiritual - ecological - resort tourism, diversify tourism products, and promote various forms of culture and night entertainment in order to attract and retain travelers.

Mr Hiep said:” Currently, the Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism advises the Provincial People's Committee on strategies to rehabilitate tourism, particularly domestic tourism, while also marketing and promoting An Giang's tourism image.
In the province's action plan and development of tourism infrastructure for the period 2021-2025, in order to transform the province's tourism industry into a spearhead economic sector, the work of promotion and advertising to establish an An Giang tourism brand must place a greater emphasis on investment and innovation through the use of information technology, the establishment of an An Giang tourism website, and widespread public awareness of the province's potentials, natural conditions, and regulations”.
