DNHN - On September 7th in Nha Trang City, the Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa Tourism Association, in collaboration with EduX Global Institute and TMA Technology Group, organized a seminar titled "AI and Digital Transformation Solutions for Khanh Hoa Tourism."

The seminar attracted nearly 200 delegates from various departments, industries, and tourism businesses across the province. Leading experts in Vietnam’s economic and tourism development shared insights into AI technology and new solutions to effectively drive digital transformation in Khanh Hoa’s tourism sector as well as Vietnam’s tourism industry in general.

Attendees were updated on the latest technological solutions and had the opportunity to experience cutting-edge products and technologies aimed at sustainable development in tourism and hospitality. The applications demonstrated at the seminar highlighted that AI is a crucial foundational technology driving digital transformation across various industries, significantly influencing operations and work methods.

Vietnam considers the digital technology industry (which includes artificial intelligence, big data, blockchain, cloud computing, the Internet of Things, electronics - telecommunications, and semiconductor design and production) as one of its six foundational industries. By 2030, AI is expected to contribute an additional USD 15.7 trillion to the global economy, while also generating new solutions and job opportunities for the tourism sector.

The seminar also focused on disseminating the latest information and practical solutions for sustainable development. However, the tourism industry faces challenges such as building and connecting data infrastructure, training and developing high-quality human resources, policy and regulatory frameworks, and attracting diverse resources for AI development. These issues are the focus of the experts and the Khanh Hoa Tourism Association as they aim for sustainable growth in Khanh Hoa’s tourism industry.
Since the beginning of 2024, Khanh Hoa’s tourism sector has launched several promotional and marketing programs in locations such as Shanghai and Zhejiang (China), Kazakhstan, and Thailand. Additionally, Khanh Hoa has hosted foreign business and travel agency delegations from South Korea, China, Thailand, and Indonesia to explore tourism opportunities in the region. The Tourism Department has collaborated with the Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa Tourism Association, local tourism businesses, and airlines to develop tour programs, promotional travel packages, and special offers to attract tourists to Khanh Hoa in 2024.
In parallel, Vietjet Air is proposing new direct flight routes from international markets to Khanh Hoa, focusing on expanding flights from the two key markets of China and Kazakhstan, and considering direct or connecting flights to Japan, Australia, and India in the last six months of 2024.
In the global context, integrating modern technology and AI is an optimal choice to drive sustainable development for Khanh Hoa’s tourism industry.
