DNHN - Viettel has partnered with Ericsson to jointly build a robust digital infrastructure, creating superior connectivity with 5G technology, bringing significant benefits to customers.
After Viettel launched the commercialization of 5G in Vietnam, Ericsson will deploy 5G networks for Viettel in Hanoi, northern areas, and central provinces. At the same time, it will modernize the 4G network for Viettel in these regions.
Ericsson will utilize its advanced Radio System technology solutions to enhance Viettel's network capacity. This not only helps ensure a quick and stable 5G network deployment but also delivers a high-speed, smooth connectivity experience for customers. Notably, Viettel has already prepared to reallocate existing frequencies to the New Radio (NR) technology, sharing the 2600 MHz band for both 4G and 5G NSA. Viettel has also set the direction for the future deployment of 5G SA (Standalone), opening up opportunities for new services on a modern technological platform.
The deep partnership between Viettel and Ericsson is once again affirmed through this collaboration. The goal of both parties is to build a strong digital infrastructure for Vietnam, creating superior connectivity with 5G technology, bringing great benefits to customers and the economy.
Ms. Rita Mokbel, President of Ericsson Vietnam, affirmed: "5G is a critical foundation of the digital economy and a driver of comprehensive growth. Our partnership with Viettel opens a new era for technological advancement in Vietnam, with 5G serving as a catalyst for innovation and digital transformation."
Ms. Rita Mokbel stated that they would cooperate to deploy and apply new fields within 5G such as network slicing, enterprise applications, and expanding use cases in Industry 4.0.
In addition, Ericsson and Viettel have signed a memorandum of understanding to promote the deployment of 5G in Vietnam. The two sides will jointly research and develop innovative applications based on 5G technology, while also building an ecosystem for application developers in Vietnam. Solutions based on the 5G platform promise to be not only reliable but also advanced, helping to enhance Vietnam's position in the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
Ericsson and Viettel will focus on key areas of cooperation such as 5G network slicing to provide specialized connections, supporting developers through sharing network APIs and knowledge of advanced technologies. This initiative not only promotes the commercialization of 5G in Vietnam but also contributes to economic growth.
With this collaboration, Ericsson and Viettel are making significant strides in the development of 5G technology in Vietnam.
