DNHN - Efforts should be made to ensure supply and meet export demands, particularly in light of the fluctuating global demand and prices for agricultural products.
The entire nation is actively engaged in agricultural, forestry, and fishing production in August 2023. These efforts play a crucial role in ensuring supply and satisfying export demands, particularly in light of the rapidly fluctuating global demand and prices for agricultural products.
According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, the total value of exports and imports of agriculture, forestry, and fisheries reached 59.69 billion US dollars in the first eight months of 2023. Which was comprised of 33.21 billion USD in exports and 26.48 billion USD in imports.

The northern region has an area of 1,001 thousand hectares, or 97.8 percent of the total, while the southern region reached 386,300 thousand hectares or 100 percent.
The accumulated area of harvested summer-autumn rice reached 1,071,600 hectares, representing 56 percent of the total cultivated area and 96 percent more than the same period last year. Summer-autumn rice yield reached 57.5 tonnes per hectare, an increase of 0.9 tonnes per hectare compared to the summer-autumn crop of 2022; output is anticipated to reach 11 million tonnes.

The Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers (VASEP) forecasts that the Chinese market for pangasius and other seafood products will recover in the final months of the year.
