DNHN - Efforts should be made to ensure supply and meet export demands, particularly in light of the fluctuating global demand and prices for agricultural products.
The entire nation is actively engaged in agricultural, forestry, and fishing production in August 2023. These efforts play a crucial role in ensuring supply and satisfying export demands, particularly in light of the rapidly fluctuating global demand and prices for agricultural products.
According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, the total value of exports and imports of agriculture, forestry, and fisheries reached 59.69 billion US dollars in the first eight months of 2023. Which was comprised of 33.21 billion USD in exports and 26.48 billion USD in imports.

According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, seafood exports in the first eight months of 2023 totaled $5.68 billion, a decrease of 25.4% compared to the same period in 2022. However, the seafood industry anticipates a recovery in exports shortly. Specifically, some markets, such as Germany, Finland, New Zealand, and Sweden, are exhibiting signs of robust growth for key products like pangasius. The Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers (VASEP) forecasts that the Chinese market for pangasius and other seafood products will recover in the final months of the year.
