Recently, Hanoi Capital announced the list of social housing projects scheduled to begin construction and be available for purchase in 2023. These projects are supported by a VND 120,000 billion government credit programme. The selected list consists of thirteen social housing projects, including Rice City Thuong Thanh (Rice City Long Bien), Rice City To Huu, NHS Trung Van, Sunrise Home Thanh Tri, FLC Garden City, Udic Eco Tower Ha Dinh, Hacinco Nguyen Xien (Dai Kim Centre), Bao Ngoc City Long Bien, 486 Ngoc Hoi, Van Canh, Kim Hoa, Hong Ha Eco City, and Green Tower Dai Mo.
These projects offer apartments priced between 16 million and 35,6 million dongs per square metre. Than Ha Construction and Trading Co., Ltd. has also initiated a social housing area as part of the Kim Hoa urban housing project in the Kim Hoa commune, Me Linh district, Hanoi.
This project is expected to cost approximately 1,268 billion Vietnamese Dong. The project consists of nine nine-story towers and offers 720 apartments ranging in size from 62 to 69 square metres. A full range of technical infrastructure, public services, and a system of parks and trees are incorporated into the modern and synchronised design of the project. The project's completion will provide opportunities for safety and security. Housing for nearly 18,000 Quang Minh Industrial Park workers and Me Linh district low-income workers.
By a report presented at the Conference to Implement the Project "Investment in Construction and Development of Social Housing in the Period 2021-2025" organised by the Hanoi People's Committee, the city will continue to implement 105 social housing projects during this time frame. This demonstrates Hanoi's dedication to providing housing for its citizens and enhancing the quality of life in the community.
Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha met with the heads of the Ministry of Construction, the State Bank, and the Government Office to discuss the implementation of a VND 120,000 billion preferential credit package for investors and homebuyers. housing for workers in social housing developments. Approximately 100 social housing and worker housing projects (in 36 localities) have been licenced for construction and deployment, according to a report from the Ministry of Construction regarding the target of the VND 120,000 billion credit package. Investments in the construction of 85,662 apartments totalling approximately $70 billion. The localities have seven projects to renovate and rebuild apartments (in four localities), requiring approximately VND 4,130 billion in loans.
