DNHN - Moc Chau has been recognized as "the preeminent local natural destination in the world." "World's Leading Natural Island in 2023" was bestowed upon Phu Quoc, while "Top Local Cultural Destination" was bestowed upon Ha Nam for the first time.
Vietnam is honored to have five locations on the "World's Leading Heritage Destinations 2023" list, which was announced by the World Travel Awards. Hanoi, Moc Chau (Son La), Tam Dao (Vinh Phuc), Ha Nam, and Phu Quoc are the aforementioned locations.
Hanoi, in particular, received its third consecutive "World's Leading Short-Term Vacation Destination" award, surpassing numerous renowned cities including Athens, Dubai, Las Vegas, New York, Singapore, Sydney, and Tokyo.
Additional cities and towns were bestowed with significant accolades as well. Moc Chau was recognized as the "World's Leading Local Natural Destination," whereas Tam Dao was bestowed with the "World's Leading Tourist Town" distinction for the second time. "World's Leading Natural Island in 2023" was bestowed upon Phu Quoc, while "Top Local Cultural Destination" was bestowed upon Ha Nam for the first time.
At the awards ceremony, several Vietnamese tourism enterprises were also recognized, in addition to the locations. The Empyrean Cam Ranh Beach Resort in Khanh Hoa was named the "World's Leading Entertainment Resort". Vietravel was honored as the "World's Leading Tour Operator" for the seventh consecutive year. Additionally, the Sun World Fansipan Legend Lao Cai tourist area's receipt of two prestigious awards enhanced Vietnam's standing.
Annually recognized since 1993, the World Travel Awards are regarded as the "Oscars of the travel industry" in recognition of outstanding achievements in the worldwide tourism industry. The event showcases various categories, including travel, destinations, parks, and the world's finest hotels, resorts, airlines, and travel. The critically acclaimed "World's Leading Destination 2023" accolade was bestowed upon the Maldives for the fourth year in a row.
