Vietnam Startup Day 2022 attracts 150 entrepreneurs

DNHN - The Youth Startup Support Center (BSSC) and the Vietnam Youth Union of Ho Chi Minh City hosted the opening ceremony for Vietnam Startup Day 2022 on August 25.
The subject of this year's program is "Promoting Tipping Point - Tipping Point for the Startup Community," and it has attracted 150 Vietnamese and foreign businesses. More than 15,000 attendees are expected, including more than 1,400 investors, investment funds (ThinkZone Ventures, Zone Companies Vietnam), entrepreneurs, and professionals from organizations that assist Vietnamese startups. South and worldwide.
When they attend the festival, start-up businesses, groups, youth, and students have the opportunity to display products and services to introduce to visitors, investors, the startup community, and media agencies; meet directly and receive advice from reputable domestic and foreign investors; recruit and search for talented people who share their passion for starting a business.
The Startup Wheel 2022 international startup competition is also part of the program's structure. The challenge attracted about 2,000 proposals from 33 nations worldwide, covering a wide range of topics such as artificial intelligence, big data, software engineering, service-based software, educational technology, agricultural technology, and so on.
The competition is specifically intended as a 6-month startup accelerator program, with over 60 seminars to help and increase the capabilities of participating firms and projects.
The final phase of the Startup Wheel Contest will be held on August 25-26, 2022, in the same location as the Vietnam Startup Day. Around 100 Vietnamese and foreign entrepreneurs will participate in the presentation to explain the concept to potential investors to secure funding. The competition award ceremony is set for the evening of August 26.
Mr Vu Viet Dung, Director of the Institute for Development and Application of Acoustic Materials, came to this event as a representative of the project of natural fibre materials from straw with sound absorption, soundproofing, and heat insulation capabilities. He wants to introduce the effects of straws to the startup community as well as investors. Straw may be used to make high-quality, all-natural goods, lowering the amount of straw burned in rural areas today, which pollutes the environment.
Ms Nguyen Thi Dieu Hang, Director of BSSC, hopes that Vietnam Startup Day will become a place where all experiences, knowledge, and useful resources are transferred from individuals and organizations to create a sustainable foundation for entrepreneurs and start-up enterprises' businesses in Vietnam.
Vietnam Startup Day is the largest annual event of the startup ecosystem in Vietnam and Southeast Asia, serving as a platform to connect elements of the startup ecosystem, attracting the participation of enterprises, business associations, large enterprises, domestic and foreign investors, and orienting and supporting start-ups throughout the country. The event has had 612 successful investment agreements with a total disclosed value of more than 20 million USD after 9 years of operation.
