On August 25, in Hanoi, the Vietnam Aerospace Industry Forum was organized by Boeing to share the vision for enhancing Vietnam's opportunities in the fields of aerospace training, supply chain, sustainable aviation and research and development…
Mr. Michael Nguyen - Leader of Boeing Vietnam said that the company wants to find manufacturers and suppliers of components in Vietnam. In the next 30 years, Southeast Asia needs about 4,000 new aircraft to meet the travel needs of people, of which Vietnam is a potential market because of the need for the most aircraft. Contracts with Vietnamese airlines, especially aircraft order contracts with Vietjet, are an important driving force for Boeing to promote the development of the global supply chain in Vietnam.

Therefore, Boeing wants to expand cooperation with Vietnamese enterprises in the field of technology, thereby, raising the capacity of Vietnam's aerospace industry to international standards.
General Director of Boeing Vietnam said: "If Vietnam has quality human resources, a reasonable investment environment and the attention of the Government, Vietnam will be a very potential market. With universities, Boeing wishes to cooperate to train human resources for science schools."
Boeing assesses that Vietnamese employees and experts will develop well when they are properly cared for with their inherent industrious qualities. Therefore, the company wants to learn from the experience of large FDI corporations such as Samsung and Intel entering Vietnam to expand operations.
Mr. Craug Abler, Senior Director of Supply Chain Asia at Boeing, said that he introduced to Vietnamese partners about the criteria, product quality, and delivery deadlines to be able to become a supplier for Boeing. In the coming time, the Group is also expected to visit potential businesses and will have a team of experts to support the development of suppliers in Vietnam.
In the context of the supply chain being strongly affected by the Covid-19 pandemic, strengthening cooperation with Vietnamese suppliers and improving the skills of Vietnam's aerospace workers will help Boeing raise high competitiveness.
Currently, Boieng has 7 component suppliers located in Vietnam. However, most of these are Japanese and Korean partners, only 1 enterprise is a domestic enterprise.
