Thanh Hoa hopes by 2025, 55 per cent of the population will be purchasing online

DNHN - Thanh Hoa province's e-commerce development project aims to have 55 per cent of the population participating in online shopping by 2025; 100 per cent of enterprises have a website that is fully updated with information on product introduction and promotion, and 80 per cent of enterprises' e-commerce websites have an integrated online ordering function, and 50 per cent of small and medium enterprises conduct business on the e-commerce platform.

To date, most firms in the province have utilized the internet to conduct business with clients via email. More than 200 businesses have established websites to provide e-commerce services; 35% of businesses supply products, goods, assistance, and information directly to individual consumers over the internet.
Some organizations with marketing and sales divisions fluent in foreign languages have begun to study and establish channels to promote items on international e-commerce sites to increase chances to identify and connect with overseas partners and have achieved spectacular success.
Thanh Hoa province has created a plan to focus on establishing e-commerce based on an electronic trading floor to implement the project of developing e-commerce in Thanh Hoa province, in addition to solutions for infrastructure investment and management.
The goal of this program is to deploy solutions to support and promote the widespread use of e-commerce in the province's enterprises, cooperatives, and people; to close the e-commerce development gap between urban and rural areas; to promote online shopping, non-cash payment, and to gradually change consumers' shopping habits and behaviour toward modernity. This strategy also develops ways to strengthen enterprise reputation and consumer confidence in e-commerce through promotion and e-commerce skill training for individuals and companies; encouraging enterprises to set up and use e-commerce in production and business operations.
Furthermore, the Provincial Consumers' Committee has delegated functional divisions to guide, promote, and encourage people, enterprises, and cooperatives to use payment facilities and services provided by banks, payment intermediaries, and other financial institutions. Payment in e-commerce transactions; at the same time, warn of tricks, fraudulent conduct, commercial fraud, and counterfeit items, as well as stealing information and accounts.
According to a spokesman of the Department of Industry and Trade, the Department of Industry and Trade will continue to chair and coordinate with the Department of E-commerce and Digital Economy (Ministry of Industry and Trade) to plan events. The event seeks to foster the growth of e-commerce in the province. To promote, introduce, and consume goods, the province's e-commerce trade floor at http://thuongmaidientuthanhhoa.vn will be updated, upgraded, and successfully operated.
At the same time, connecting Thanh Hoa province's e-commerce trading floor with the provinces' and cities' e-commerce trading floors to support enterprise distribution and consumption of goods; mobilizing and propagating enterprises, cooperatives, production, and business households to actively register to sell on the provincial e-commerce floor, the prestigious domestic and foreign e-commerce floors.
Furthermore, to enhance the quality of items disseminated through e-commerce, build customer trust, and safeguard legitimate enterprises, the province's functional forces are checking and controlling the market. The authorities also advise users to pick reputed e-commerce sites with a dedication to providing authentic items to avoid meeting undesirable scenarios while purchasing things via e-commerce.

If there is an issue during the transaction that affects consumers' interests, they should contact the Thanh Hoa Province Association of Standards and Consumer Protection, the competent authorities, for quick assistance and protection of their interests.
