DNHN - In the first half of 2024, Thái Nguyên witnessed a surge in digital transformation with the goal of digitizing 700 enterprises and contributing 20% of the digital economy to the GRDP by 2025.
Thái Nguyên province is striving to promote strong digital transformation in the first half of 2024 to help enterprises and cooperatives (HTX) develop sustainably. According to Resolution No. 01-NQ/TU, the province's goal is to have 700 enterprises complete the digitization process and increase the contribution of the digital economy to 20% of the GRDP before 2025. The provincial government has implemented various policies and supportive activities, creating favorable conditions for the application of digital technology in all business sectors.
To achieve these goals, Thái Nguyên has organized training courses and workshops for enterprises and cooperatives, focusing on digital business skills, brand building, and access to modern digital tools. Agencies such as the Department of Industry and Trade have provided free product traceability codes, designed promotional materials, and guided the listing of products on e-commerce platforms. This not only enhances the competitiveness of enterprises but also expands the market for product consumption.
The attention from the provincial government has yielded positive results. Enterprises and cooperatives in Thái Nguyên are now undergoing significant transformation, with many agricultural products and goods being widely promoted on digital platforms. The active adoption of digital technology has helped these units not only maintain business operations but also increase product value, contributing to the sustainable development of the local economy.
Recently, the Department of Industry and Trade, in coordination with the Trade Promotion Department (Ministry of Industry and Trade), organized a training course on digital business skills, brand development, and image building through livestreaming. This event attracted over 200 delegates from enterprises and cooperatives, equipping them with the necessary tools to operate effectively on digital platforms.
The Department of Industry and Trade also provides free QR codes for the province's products, designs labels and traceability codes, and other technical solutions to enable local products to participate in e-commerce platforms such as thainguyentrade.vn, Voso.vn, and Postmart.vn. Support also includes website, app, and trademark registration, as well as barcodes and serial numbers, making it easier for businesses to access the online market.
A representative from the provincial Department of Industry and Trade stated that digital technology is opening up many new opportunities for enterprises and cooperatives to promote their products and expand their markets. Livestream selling, in particular, has proven to be an effective tool for connecting with and developing consumer markets.
Ms. Hoàng Thị Tâm, Director of Tâm Trà Thái Cooperative, expressed satisfaction with the training course, noting that being guided in detail on online sales and setting up digital storefronts will increase opportunities for trade and product consumption domestically.
Currently, the Thái Nguyên Department of Industry and Trade is actively connecting products from local enterprises to e-commerce platforms, expanding the consumption market. Notably, Hà Thái Tea Joint Stock Company has successfully promoted its products through multiple online channels, increasing exports and domestic sales.
Therefore, promoting the application of digital technology will bridge the gap between localities and major cities in implementing digital technology in trade promotion.
Meanwhile, the provincial Department of Information and Communications has coordinated with MISA Corporation to implement several support activities for enterprises during the 2022-2025 period. Many workshops and training courses have been organized, providing digital tools for more than 1,700 enterprises and cooperatives.
Additionally, the provincial Tax Department has implemented electronic invoicing for all businesses in the area, achieving a 100% rate, and has strengthened electronic tax support for taxpayers.
As of now, Thái Nguyên has 324 digital technology enterprises, and the proportion of added value from the digital economy in the GRDP in 2023 reached 31.4%, ranking third in the country. Nearly 190,000 households and enterprises have been given accounts to transact on e-commerce platforms, bringing over 1,800 products to the global market.
Thanks to strong support from the government and a shift in business awareness, Thái Nguyên is on track to achieve its digital transformation goals, contributing to the development of the digital economy and bringing specialty agricultural products to the world.
