The Provincial Union of Friendship Organizations celebrated the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and the Netherlands on April 11. Based on the good friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and the Netherlands, Dong Thap province has received development assistance from the Dutch Government in the fields of infrastructure upgrading, agriculture, clean water, education, and health over the course of many years. These typical projects have had a positive impact on the province's socioeconomic development. In recent years, Dong Thap has collaborated with Demokwekerij Westland Center (Netherlands) and Vietnam International Trade Center in the Netherlands to implement a project to build a high-tech agricultural application center in Dong Thap and technical staff training in the Netherlands; Export goods to the Dutch market has reached more than US$34 million, with key products including seafood, prawn crackers, rice products, leather shoes, etc.

In the process of integration and digital transformation, Dong Thap requires the assistance of the government and Dutch experts in the exchange of experience, knowledge, technology, and preferential loans for the development of sustainable agriculture. Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee of Dong Thap, Doan Tan Buu, hoped that Dong Thap would be an environment ripe with opportunities to entice an increasing number of Dutch investors to cooperate to further develop friendships and strategic alliances.
