The Provincial Union of Friendship Organizations celebrated the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and the Netherlands on April 11. Based on the good friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and the Netherlands, Dong Thap province has received development assistance from the Dutch Government in the fields of infrastructure upgrading, agriculture, clean water, education, and health over the course of many years. These typical projects have had a positive impact on the province's socioeconomic development. The construction of a clean water system in the city of Cao Lanh, the building of Dong Thap Community College, and the Dong Binh Water Plant...

In recent years, Dong Thap has collaborated with Demokwekerij Westland Center (Netherlands) and Vietnam International Trade Center in the Netherlands to implement a project to build a high-tech agricultural application center in Dong Thap and technical staff training in the Netherlands; Export goods to the Dutch market has reached more than US$34 million, with key products including seafood, prawn crackers, rice products, leather shoes, etc.

In the process of integration and digital transformation, Dong Thap requires the assistance of the government and Dutch experts in the exchange of experience, knowledge, technology, and preferential loans for the development of sustainable agriculture. Water management, logistics, green transformation, and sustainability.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee of Dong Thap, Doan Tan Buu, hoped that Dong Thap would be an environment ripe with opportunities to entice an increasing number of Dutch investors to cooperate to further develop friendships and strategic alliances. Vietnam and the Netherlands require a comprehensive strategy.

Mr. Daniel Coenraad Stork, Consul General of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Ho Chi Minh City, stated that Vietnam and the Netherlands have developed open relations and share many similarities over the past 50 years. The two nations have continuously upgraded their relationship from development to trade, addressing major global issues such as climate change, sustainable agriculture, and water management together.

Mr. Stork wished for closer diplomatic ties between the Netherlands and Vietnam in general and Dong Thap in particular, expressing his pleasure at the successful implementation of Dutch Government projects there.
