DNHN - Currently, districts and municipalities in Hanoi are strengthening promotional policies to encourage employee rent to landlords.
The Hanoi Department of Labour, Invalids, and Social Affairs informed and implemented Decision No. 08/2022/QD-TTg dated March 28, 2022, on the implementation of the policy of housing rental support for employees, and by the end of August 12, the districts and towns had supported 199,350 labourers with an estimated total support funding of 103,736,000,000 VND/166,533,500,000 VND, reaching 62.3%.
Districts and towns have supported 191,228 turns of employees working in firms, totalling 95,614,000,000 VND. The districts and municipalities have given 8,122,000,000 VND to help 8,122 employees return to the job market.

The Hanoi Department of Labor, War Invalids, and Social Affairs has advised the City People's Committee to issue Decision No. 1426/QD-UBND dated April 27/ 2022 on the implementation of the policy to support rent for workers in the city to ensure adequate, timely, and prompt payment of rent support for employees.
The City People's Committee simplified the implementation procedure in Decision No. 1426/QD-UBND by permitting 30 districts and towns to approve the list and support money and direct the payment of rent support for local workers.
It is suitable for the Hanoi People's Committee to decentralize the district People's Committee to assess and authorize the payment of employee assistance via the monitoring and control of the Hanoi Department of Labour, Invalids, and Social Affairs.
District authorities and Social Insurance have also realized their obligations and provided favourable circumstances for papers and processes so that employees may obtain prompt assistance and are flexible in dealing with developing issues.
The deadline for applying for employee rent assistance is August 15, according to Decision No. 08/2022/QD-TTg. Currently, districts and municipalities in Hanoi are strengthening promotional policies to encourage employee rent to landlords.
At the same time, municipalities advise businesses and renters to make it easier for workers to validate their rental status. Districts and municipalities continue to help enterprises in preparing dossiers to request assistance, aggressively expediting dossier appraisal, and organizing prompt payment, so that there is no dossier backlog.
