DNHN - The Vietnam Trade Office in Australia recommends that businesses need to fully comply with the conditions for importing into Australia to avoid creating more time in the current difficult conditions.
Recently, many items that need to be quarantined, when imported into Australia, have to face delays in quarantine and customs clearance (not only goods from Vietnam).
The Vietnam Trade Office in Australia has suggested that importers transport by air and mobilized importers in Western Australia and South Australia, which are not overloaded like the two states mentioned above, to boost imports. With fresh fruit shipments to Australia, the Trade Office actively works with importers on the import schedule and proposes coordination and opinions with the quarantine agency.

The Vietnam Trade Office in Australia recommends that businesses need to fully comply with the conditions for importing into Australia to avoid creating more time in the current difficult conditions.
For goods affected by slow quarantine, businesses with long-term export plans need to negotiate with importers so that importers can share costs while waiting for quarantine. For fresh fruit, it is necessary to negotiate with the importer to be able to transport by air; coordinate with the Trade Office to promote promotion and promote consumption at good prices.
Businesses also need to pay attention to regulations and information on labels and packaging. Some suggestions of businesses to limit delays need to be filled in completely and accurately with customer information so that the initial evaluation stage does not take much time.
If the goods are ready for short-term quarantine (quarantine goods can be delivered within 30 minutes), the business needs to indicate this in the "selection" section of the quarantine request, when goods can be prioritized.
According to the Vietnam Trade Office in Australia, there may be additional costs for carrying out the quarantine service after hours, if the quarantine is conducted before 6:30 am or after 6:30 pm from Monday to Friday, on weekends or holidays. In case businesses need to quarantine after hours, it is necessary to specify the time and availability of goods.
