Phu Tho: Opening ceremony of the Hung Temple Festival and the 2024 Cultural and Tourism Week of the Ancestral Land

DNHN - On April 9, at the Hung Temple Historical Site, Phu Tho province solemnly held the opening ceremony of the Hung Temple Festival and the Cultural and Tourism Week of the Ancestral Land in the Year of the Dragon - 2024.
Attending the opening ceremony were comrades: Bui Van Quang - Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee; Ho An Phong - Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism; Ho Dai Dung - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, Head of the Organising Committee for the Hung Kings’ Anniversary - Hung Temple Festival; members of the Organising Committee, leaders of several agencies, units, and localities, and a large number of people.
At the opening ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Phu Tho Provincial People’s Committee - Ho Dai Dung said: This year’s Hung Temple Festival and Cultural and Tourism Week of the Ancestral Land will not only witness activities to commemorate and show gratitude to the Hung Kings but also experience and participate in many unique cultural, sports, and tourism activities. From traditional festivals and special cultural events to exciting sports tournaments, these are opportunities for the children of the Ancestral Land and visitors from all over the country to review the historical process - honouring the cultural heritage of the nation.
The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee emphasised that Phu Tho province is determined to overcome all difficulties and challenges, seize opportunities, promote its fine historical and cultural traditions; and continue to write new pages of history, glorifying the tradition of the heroic Ancestral Land. Strive to build Phu Tho province - the cradle of the nation, increasingly prosperous and civilised.
This year’s Hung Temple Festival and Cultural and Tourism Week of the Ancestral Land will be held from April 9-18 (from March 1-10 in the Year of the Dragon) with joyful and wholesome activities, closely linked to cultural, sports, and tourism events, showcasing the unique cultural identity of the Ancestral Land.
