DNHN - After years of struggling with financial difficulties, Nam Dinh Football Club is about to receive a huge sponsorship package to raise its ambition to become a "new star" in the Vietnamese football village.
In recent days, football supporters in Nam Dinh have been discussing the possibility of their hometown team being dissolved due to a shortage of running finances. Specifically, after the 2021 season, Nam Dinh's contract with its sponsor terminated, and the team was forced to rely on funding from the province. However, due to the small quantity of money received by the province, Nam Dinh is heavily in debt. From salaries to bribery, many athletes are in a condition of "debt," which has had a significant impact on their psychological well-being.
Coach Nguyen Van Sy was particularly concerned about the home team's condition, but he was powerless to change it because of the difficulty of securing a new sponsor in the backdrop of the COVID-19 epidemic devouring many enterprises, including the funding for football. The owners have little interest in the stone. The "ghost" of the second Quang Ninh case reappears, and the prospect of the team going bankrupt haunts the football players here. Additionally, due to a shortage of funds, Nam Dinh was only able to sign a few players at "very cheap" prices and was forced to let captain Lam Anh Quang join SHB Da Nang.

In difficult times, luck for Nam Dinh Football Club when Xuan Thien Group recently decided to "jump into the fire" to save the Nam Thanh team. Specifically, through discussions, Xuan Thien agreed to sponsor Nam Dinh Football Club with an amount of over 200 billion VND – equal to about 9 million USD.
Both Nam Dinh football fans and head coach Nguyen Van Sy exhaled a sigh of relief upon hearing this news. Nguyen Van Sy, the head coach stated: "Nam Dinh has struggled financially for a long period, and as a result, year after year, it relies heavily on "homegrown" players trained by him. Fortunately, the Xuan Thien side has consented to participate in the sponsorship, and the signing ceremony will take place on March 14. Additionally, the players have a greater sense of security while playing football".
According to our research, Xuan Thien Group has experienced more than 20 years of establishment and development, they are professional investors in the field of clean energy production (hydroelectricity, wind power, solar power); production of construction materials (cement, iron and steel) and high-tech agricultural production. Currently, this Group is investing in a complex of Green Steel and heavy industry production projects with a total cost of hundreds of thousands of billion VND, environmentally friendly, in Nghia Hung district, Nam Dinh province.
Xuan Thien came to football as a result of his predestined investment and business in Nam Dinh, accompanying the legendary football team with the greatest and most devoted fan following in Vietnam. The owner of Xuan Thien Group is from Ha Nam Ninh (Ninh Binh), and as such, he wants to support and stand behind his hometown team. Xuan Thien Group vows that it would not "draw cake," but will instead invest frequently in players and coaches including head coach Nguyen Van Sy, to develop a strong team capable of competing for top positions in the V.League.
