According to the plan, all firms, business houses, and people doing business using the declaration method with invoices must migrate to using e-invoices beginning July 1, 2022. Cao Anh Tuan, Director General of the General Department of Taxation, has requested that the standing groups of e-invoices, from the central government to the local tax offices, be on duty 24 hours a day, seven days a week to handle and resolve any issues that arise.
Mr Pham Quang Toan, Director of the Information Technology Department (General Department of Taxation), stated that the adoption of e-invoices has contributed to the promotion of digital transformation in enterprises, financial agencies, and other state agencies.
The deployment of e-invoices will contribute to the transformation of the way people are served, management, and tax authorities are implemented in the direction of automation, to reform administrative procedures, facilitate and decrease expenses, and boost company productivity.
