Long Thanh International Airport Project: No loss, waste, and negativity

DNHN - Deputy Prime Minister Le Van Thanh stressed the significance of the Long Thanh International Airport project for socio-economic development, security, and defence.
The Government Office has just issued Notice No. 105/TB-VPCP on the conclusion of Deputy Prime Minister Le Van Thanh at the meeting of the Government's Steering Committee for the implementation of the Long Thanh International Airport project.
Deputy Prime Minister Le Van Thanh emphasized that the Long Thanh International Airport project has a large scale and is very important for socio-economic development, security and defence. When completed, it will create a strong development momentum for Dong Nai, the provinces of the Southern Key Economic Zone and the whole country.

Given the importance of the project, the Prime Minister decided to establish a Government Steering Committee to direct the implementation.
The Steering Committee must achieve 3 basic objectives. Firstly, the project progress must be completed by 2025 by the National Assembly's Resolution and the Prime Minister's Decision.
Second, the quality of the project must come first, commensurate with the scale of being an important national project, requiring high quality, architectural design and landscape.
Third, fight negative waste; investment cost savings.
Accordingly, the site clearance work will hand over an additional 328.59 hectares in the construction area of phase 1 and 332.28 hectares in the land reserve area.
The Project Management Department of ACV is consolidated with full functions, legal status, human resources and facilities enhanced.
