DNHN - Kitaguchi Haruki was once a Japanese sports instructor who lived an isolated life in his community and paid little attention to the outside world. Haruki Kitaguchi's life has drastically changed since he moved to Vietnam to live and work.
Kitaguchi Haruki is currently the director of School Partner Vietnam, a thriving enterprise utilising the Amitie educational model that promotes the development of children's EQ through sports.
Kitaguchi Haruki worked at the Amitie Sports Club in Japan for 5 years before he moved to Vietnam. This experience helped him build this educational model in Vietnam.
Kitaguchi Haruki was impressed by Vietnam when he went there because it has a young population, a lively way of life, and a lot of chances for investment and growth. Ho Chi Minh City, with its busy life, has grown more than anyone could have imagined. Kitaguchi Haruki thinks this place is interesting and impressive because it is full of life and energy. But there were many times when bad things happened to him, like when he saw people littering the streets or when he was tricked or bought for a high price. Even in that situation, Kitaguchi Haruki received See: Vietnam is a country with a growing economy and a lot of potential. People must live and act by social norms. He sees this as a chance for himself and can help Vietnamese society in a good way through his business activities in the education field. That was the start of Amitie, a sports school that helps kids develop their emotional intelligence.
Kitaguchi Haruki decided to start a business in Vietnam because of the balance between high economic growth and low competition. This was a very important reason for him. Vietnam is a better place for investors like him to put their money than some other Southeast Asian countries like Thailand and Malaysia.
Kitaguchi Haruki had to deal with a lot of problems as he set up Amitie School. His ultimate goal is to improve children's emotional intelligence (EQ) and help Vietnamese society grow through sports, but many parents still don't understand what he means. But parents have directly seen and experienced the difference through media interviews, sharing of ideas, and methods of EQ development, along with Amitie's technical training. This has helped parents understand the difference. change how they see things.
Kitaguchi Haruki's business has stabilised and grown despite all of the problems, especially after the epidemic. At the moment, there are more than 3,300 students at Amitie School. In the next four years, the school hopes to have 10,000 students. Plans for the future: Amitie will open more branches in other provinces and add sports besides football.
In May 2019, the book "Amitie: Nurturing Children's Souls Through Football" by Kitaguchi Haruki and Southern Publishing House came out. In the book, the importance of EQ for kids is emphasised, and specific advice is given. Many parents can use what they learn in the book to improve their relationships with their children. A lot of parents read and talk about the book. Kitaguchi Haruki wants to write a second book because the first one did so well. He wants to raise parents' awareness of the importance of EQ development education for young children.
Kitaguchi Haruki is one of the successful foreigners doing business in Vietnam. He said, "My choice to start a business in Vietnam was lucky and right." Vietnam is a great place to invest right now because it has a lot of natural resources, a lot of people, and a good business and investment environment. This is a great chance for international investors who are looking for ways to help economic integration grow.
