DNHN - It has recently been decided by the National Wage Council to ask the Prime Minister for permission to raise the regional minimum wage by 6%, which will take effect on July 1.
The National Wage Council held its second meeting this morning, led by Mr Le Van Thanh, the Deputy Minister of Labor, War Invalids, and Social Affairs. Mr Le Van Thanh is also the Chairman of the National Wage Council. They are still talking about and negotiating the regional minimum wage increase for employees of businesses.

The National Wage Council approved and closed the request to increase the regional minimum wage by 6% starting July 1, 2022. This is the sole option the National Wage Council has for a secret vote. In sum, 17/17 members agreed to a 6% rise, 15/17 agreed to a 15% hike, and 2/7 agreed to a 2% boost.
Region I increased by 260,000 VND, Region II by 240,000 VND, Region III by 210,000 VND, and Region IV by 180,000 VND. The previous regional minimum salary was 4.42 million VND on January 1, 2020; 3.92 million VND on January 1, 2020; 3.42 million VND on January 1, 2020.
The agreement was signed on April 12th at the Institute of Labor and Social Sciences and the Ministry of Labor and War Injured People and Social Affairs. It was for a program that would help both employers and employees. The labour market is growing.
In recent years, the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids, and Social Affairs has collaborated with other ministries, bureaus, and organizations to develop new policies for the government. Employees and employers are affected by the COVID-19 epidemic. However, since the COVID-19 epidemic has been ongoing for so long, some firms and workers are still experiencing issues. Because short-term coverage is required.
To operate, companies and economic groups will need to follow the Prime Minister's lead. Faster job market recovery. Allies in the labour market include the Ministry of Labor and Invalids (LOLITA), General Confederation of Labor (VGN), Social Insurance (VSE), Chamber of Commerce & Industry (CCI) and Business Association for Small & Medium-Sized Enterprises (BASME).

It was led by Dao Ngoc Dung, Minister of Labour, Invalids, and Social Affairs, as well as Nguyen Ba Hoan, Deputy Minister, and Nguyen The Manh, General Director of Vietnam Social Insurance. Nguyen Van Than, Chairman of the Association of Small and Medium Enterprises (VINASME), was also in attendance.
Dao Ngoc Dung, the Minister of Labor, War Invalids, and Social Affairs, said that over the last few years, businesses and employees have put their hearts into it. At today's meeting, we will make new decisions, work together to implement and evaluate policies that help employees and employers, and keep track of how they work.
The program coordinates the implementation of solutions that help employees, employers, and the growth of the labour market, as well as social security. This is what the program does.
The first step is to ensure that the program's duties and solutions are completed as per the government's Resolution No. 11/NQ-CP dated January 30, 2020, and 2022.
Second, ensure that the objective of building harmonious and stable labour relations is achieved. A stable labour market and a timely supply of high-quality employees are all positive aspects of the labour market.
To ensure workers' long-term financial stability, maintain adopting social security and welfare measures, notably social insurance.

During today's meeting, Nguyen The Manh, the general director of Vietnam Social Insurance, said that his organization has worked very hard to get the government to make policies that help people and businesses. This has led to a lot of success.
Previously, assistance packages were sent rapidly and for the first time, benefiting both the general public and employees. Putting policies in place and letting people know about them helps them comprehend the value of social insurance. The more closely we collaborate on support policies, the more convenient, transparent, efficient, and successful they are for everyone.
They decided who would coordinate with each other and with each other's functional units to come up with specific work plans for each year, based on what was in the coordination program, what it was for, and what it was supposed to do.
This is what happened: the Employment Department was given the job by the Ministry of Labor, War Injured, and Social Affairs. The Employment Department, with help from the Department of Social Insurance and the Department of Labor Relations and Wages, will be in charge of putting together and putting into action the Coordination Program.
The Vietnam General Confederation of Labor wants the Labor Relations Board to be in charge of the Coordination Program.
Vietnam Social Insurance names the Social Insurance Policy Implementation Committee as the body that will be in charge of the Coordination Program.
The Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry wants the Employer's Gender Office to be in charge of the Coordination Program. The Vietnam Association of Small and Medium Enterprises wants the Business and Employee Support Committee to be in charge of the Coordination Program.
The agencies in charge of the different vertical agencies at the provincial level, based on the needs and tasks of each locality, come up with and implement a plan that works for them. As part of the plan, once a year, the standing agency will hold a meeting to draw lessons from and report on the results of the program, and work with the leaders of the other agencies to review and agree on a plan for the next year.
Any issues or challenges should be reported to the Ministry of Labor's Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (through the Department of Labor and Social Affairs). Business and Employee Support Board will cooperate with Labor Relations to ensure a smooth settlement and pleased employees.

Nguyen Van Than, VINASME President: "Developing the labour market, providing rent assistance for workers, encouraging enterprises and corporations to pay flexible salaries, and getting people to engage in social insurance are all long-term challenges for employees. These are all vital for workers. Many organizations, departments, and professionals can assist us to tackle these difficulties and working together in the future.
Labor General Confederation of Vietnam Leader: "This is an excellent initiative. This must be done immediately. We helped disseminate the message with the union's aid. Employees should be reminded to observe the union's money-saving regulations to avert outbreaks. We estimate 6,000 billion VND. Today, we believe the material and strategies used by the agencies will be clear and straightforward.
