DNHN - Smart technology application brings convenience to visitors, increases the quality of experience at the destination, and contributes to raising Binh Dinh tourism worthy of its inherent potential.
Technology - A stepping stone to boost Binh Dinh tourism
Smart tourism growth is often seen as an unavoidable trend worldwide. Many cities in Korea, Japan, Singapore, and Thailand have made significant investments in smart tourism, including the development of travel apps, the use of e-wallets, and the use of QR codes to pay for services, as well as the airport, check-in, and travel experience based on virtual reality technology...
Binh Dinh isn't exempt from this trend, as it's quickly adopting smart tourism to create new and appealing tourism products, promoting growth and ensuring long-term sustainability.
The use of digital technology in tourist development is one of the key solutions of the action program No. 06-CTr/TU dated May 14, 2021, aimed at transforming Binh Dinh tourism into a leading economic sector between 2020 and 2025. This was also one of the primary topics covered during the recent Scientific Conference "Building a Master Plan for Communication and Development of the Binh Dinh Tourist Brand Up to 2025, with a sight on 2030," which was held in Quy Nhon.
Several synchronized solutions can be implemented in line with this strategy, such as the creation of a digital technology platform for communication and tourism marketing; the implementation of the Tourism Quy Nhon - Binh Dinh portal and application; and the integration of visitor support applications. Binh Dinh tourist brand website, brand page - fan page... are managed learning channels.
Digital content introducing typical local tourist destinations, products, and services should be standardized; promoting and promoting tourism should be done via many electronic publications and social networks; and advanced technologies like virtual reality, augmented reality, etc... should be used to enhance the value and attractiveness of tourist destinations, products and services.
At the same time, the workshop proposed that train stations, ports, piers, bus stations, and other places with large crowds, as well as tourist attractions, provide free wifi connections to the public; developing software to assist tourists in looking up and finding information about tourist destinations, accommodations, entertainment venues, and dining and shopping spots in the province...
The actions of Binh Dinh
There are just a few places in Vietnam that have taken advantage of the Covid-19 outbreak in the past two years to assess and rebuild their infrastructure and tourism offerings. Here, the emphasis is always on digital transformation and the implementation of smart technologies.
The Binh Dinh tourism sector launched the Binh Dinh tourism web and Quy Nhon - Binh Dinh tourism app at the end of 2021, giving comprehensive information on lodging, gastronomy, culture, and significant local tourist attractions. It is expected that the interface and functionalities of this program will continue to be improved and expanded to include more languages in the future.
Virtual reality (VR) technology integration, attractions, virtual tours, and augmented reality (AR) will be added to the Binh Dinh tourism promotion website over time. This will allow tourists to get a better sense of the place they're visiting by providing them with a more immersive experience before they even arrive.
Binh Dinh focuses on the development of tourism technology infrastructure and increases investment attractiveness and works with enterprises to create a smart business ecosystem that offers new experiences to visitors. Merryland Quy Nhon, a project of Hung Thinh Corporation, is one.
Virtual reality and augmented reality will be integrated into the Binh Dinh tourism marketing website in the coming months, allowing visitors to virtually experience the city's top attractions before they even set foot on site. At the same time, pushing the process of creating digital tourist maps and an automatic interpretation system (Audio Guide) in several languages at tourist attractions and antiquities.
To achieve the aim of becoming the province's leading economic sector, Binh Dinh tourism will need to take a step forward in innovation and creativity, as well as embrace 4.0 technology. As a region and continent competitor, Vietnam is ready to go head-to-head.
