DNHN - Southeast Asia Commercial Joint Stock Bank (SeABank, stock code SSB) has just concluded its online SeABank Run for The Future 2023 - SeARun with impressive results: Approximately 10,000 individuals are divided into 308 teams.
More than 2.1 million kilometers were logged during the three stages of the tournament; 25,000 new Melaleuca trees were planted in Dak Lak; 10 students continue to pursue their intellectual aspirations with nearly 1 billion VND in lifetime high school scholarships.
SeABank organizes the SeABank Run for The Future (SeARun) to launch a sports training movement and connect the community, thereby calling on everyone to join hands and contribute to carrying out meaningful social activities. Since 2018, this event has been held annually. After five years of organization, the running race continues to attract a large number of professional and amateur athletes, demonstrating its continued popularity.
In 2023, the tournament will be held online via the UpRace application in three stages from 17 May to 10 September, with a total prize pool for individuals and teams of nearly 400 million VND. During the 2023 SeARun season, nearly 10,000 professional, semi-professional, and movement runners from across the nation competed in 308 teams. All athletes accumulated a total of 2,139,246 kilometers over the course of the entire competition, demonstrating their heat, tenacity, and unwavering zeal.
The Retail Runner Plus team won the special prize - VICTORIANS and received a prize of 40 million VND after competing in three stages and completing a total of 187,211 kilometers with outstanding effort. SeABank Binh Chanh and Gom Chu Dau are ranked second and third, respectively. In addition to the final special prize, there are awards for outstanding teams and individuals in each of the three stages.
In stage 1 - Be Successful Competing in a synchronized format, Retail Runner Plus, SeABank Binh Chanh, and Chu Dau Ceramics won the award for average team performance with respective distances of 60,511 km, 60,451 km, and 42,755 km. First, second, and third place. The top 10 teams with the highest stage 1 achievements received 1,050 exclusive SeARun shirts.
In addition to recognizing team achievements in stage 2 - Let's Go, Green, the organizers award 100 individual prizes, each worth 1 million VND, to the top 50 male and female athletes with average achievements based on valid activities. Le Thi Hang (1,568 km) is the female athlete with the best performance in stage 2; Pham Ngoc Thach (1,475 km) is the top male athlete in the Top 50 with average achievements based on valid activities.
On the final leg of the SeARun 2023 - Run for The Future journey, the organizers award 60 million VND in prizes to the TOP 6 athletes with the most valid activities and the TOP 3 teams that complete the challenge in the shortest amount of time,... In addition, SeARun 2023 includes additional competitions, such as the team with the earliest check-in photos, and taking family photographs with SeARun...
In particular, in addition to sporting events, SeARun 2023 brings together running enthusiasts to participate in meaningful activities, with donations supporting 10 students' lifetime scholarships. From SeABank's budget and with the support of the Bob & Renee Parsons Foundation, BRG Group, and many SeABank partners, the Nurturing Dreams Fund and the SeAGreen Fund have donated 25,000 forest trees to deserving low-income students.
To protect the environment and combat climate change, the SeAGreen Fund of SeABank donated 25,000 acacia trees worth 500 million VND to the districts of Krong Buk and Ea H'Leo in Dak Lak province in August 2023. Since October 2023, the Nurturing Dreams Scholarship Fund has awarded ten poor, diligent high school students from Bac Giang, Nam Dinh, Quang Nam, Binh Phuoc, and Ho Chi Minh scholarships worth nearly 1 billion VND.
SeABank's Dream Incubation Fund has awarded 110 universal lifetime scholarships worth a total of nearly 10,4 billion VND to students from disadvantaged backgrounds across the nation. This demonstrates that SeARun is not only a physical activity, but also a way to connect, share love, lend a hand to the community, and contribute to the sustainable development of society.
