The GBA Oktoberfest will officially return in September and October, celebrating German cuisine, craft beer, and vibrant traditions. Following the resounding success of last year’s festival, which attracted over 10,500 attendees and served 20,000 liters of beer, GBA Oktoberfest has established itself as the largest beer festival in Southeast Asia. From Hanoi to Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh City, the festival will continue to foster Vietnamese-German friendship in a joyful atmosphere filled with memorable experiences.
GBA Oktoberfest is the biggest annual cultural festival held in Vietnam, co-hosted by the German Businesses Association (GBA), the Delegation of German Industry and Commerce in Vietnam (AHK Vietnam), together with JW Marriott Hotel Hanoi, under the patronage of the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Hanoi, and German Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City.
Over 30 years, "GBA Oktoberfest" has become an annual event to bring the unique German cultural and traditional experiences closer to the Vietnamese people. In addition to that, the festival has created a bridge for promoting the Vietnam-Germany strategic partnership.
This year, the festival will continue spanning three cities: Hanoi, Danang, and Ho Chi Minh City, and will welcome all attendees through ticket sales.
- In Hanoi, the festival will take place at JW Marriott Hotel Hanoi for 3 days, from Thursday to Saturday, 26th– 28th
- In Danang, the festival will take place at Furama Resort Danang for 1 day, on Friday, 04th October.
- In Ho Chi Minh City, the festival will take place at Hotel Nikko Saigon for 3 days, from Thursday to Saturday, 10th – 12th
The festival will continue delivering the lively carnival atmosphere of Bavaria with explosive moments from the famous band O'zapft from Germany and Austria. In addition, traditional German dishes are prepared by the German chef, along with a wide selection of premium German craft beers and other non-alcoholic beverages. Endless food and free-flowing drinks will be served throughout the night of the festival. This year, the lucky draw will bring unprecedented attractive prizes to all attendees.
GBA Oktoberfest 2024 promises to bring an outstanding German cultural festival season with many interesting and unmissable experiences!
Torben Minko – Vice-Chairman of the German Business Association (GBA) stated:“2025 will mark 50 years of diplomatic ties between Viet Nam and the Federal Republic of Germany. The bilateral strategic partnership has been deepened in all fields among which cultural, economic, trade and investment co-operation are important pillars. Over the years, the festival has been not only a cultural event but also an opportunity for businesses and organizations from Germany and Vietnam to explore new potentials in various fields. We also have continuously worked on upgrading the authentic setting of our Oktoberfest and spread a unique German culture across the country. We are looking forward to celebrating the German Vietnamese friendship with you at the GBA Oktoberfest this year in Hanoi, Danang and Ho Chi Minh City.”
