DNHN - AK FOOD was one of 98 enterprises honored at this ceremony and notably has maintained this title for two consecutive years.
On August 29, 2024, the Ho Chi Minh City Business Association, in collaboration with Saigon Giai Phong Newspaper, hosted the “Ho Chi Minh City Green Enterprise 2024” awards ceremony. At this event, the organizers once again selected and awarded the “Ho Chi Minh City Green Enterprise” title for the second time.
With over 26 years of experience in the nutritional food industry, AK FOOD is committed to applying “green” criteria in its production processes and implementing various innovative solutions to minimize environmental impact.
The “Ho Chi Minh City Green Enterprise” title, proposed by the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, serves as an important criterion for assessing businesses' ability to respond to climate change and reduce carbon emissions in production and business activities. The purpose of this title is to recognize, reward, and encourage enterprises to comply with waste management regulations, research and produce environmentally friendly products, and enhance social responsibility.
Mrs. Nguyen Thi Thu, Chairwoman of the Board and CEO of AK FOOD, shared, “As a food production company, AK FOOD has always prioritized green production as one of the key strategies for sustainable development. We fully understand the importance of environmental protection in the production process and will continue to pursue green growth in line with global trends.”
Mrs. Thu also emphasized, “The ‘Ho Chi Minh City Green Enterprise 2024’ award is a testament to AK FOOD’s strong commitment to promoting green solutions in the nutritional food industry, improving product quality, and developing products marked ‘Made in Vietnam’. This award serves as a significant motivation for AK FOOD to continue striving and developing sustainably. We believe that with our quality products and environmental responsibility, AK FOOD will continue to expand its market, not only in Vietnam but also globally.”
AK FOOD’s nutritional food production plant is one of the largest facilities in Vietnam, certified to international standards such as ISO 9001, ISO 22000, and HACCP.
