THISO, a THACO Group member organization, formally concluded the signing of an agreement to transfer capital and franchise exclusive commercial operations with Emart Inc. by the end of 2021. (Korea). This comprises the full Emart Go Vap company as well as developing initiatives in Vietnam. Following that, THISO Retail (a subsidiary of THISO International Trading and Service Joint Stock Company) was founded to take over Emart Vietnam's operations.

Chairman Tran Ba Duong stated that with this franchising approach, Emart Vietnam would be a crucial element, completing the multi-industry concept of "one-stop, multiple utilities" that THACO Group is seeking. Contributing to the aim of "Providing the ideal client experience via integrated service and a devoted service mentality."
Mr Chun Byung Ki, General Director of THISO Retail, believes that franchising in collaboration with THACO is a significant milestone for Emart in Vietnam. Emart Vietnam will expand the system not just in Ho Chi Minh City, but across Vietnam, thanks to THACO Group's real estate fund and multi-industry ecosystem. Emart Inc.'s key people will be responsible for establishing Emart Vietnam as the top hypermarket chain in Vietnam and ensuring quality consistency with the Emart supermarket system in Korea and worldwide.

Accelerating system expansion and boosting Vietnamese people's quality of life
Emart Vietnam seeks to develop cooperation with local suppliers in addition to promoting Emart Vietnam's unique advantage of supplying quality Korean items at accessible costs. More than 90% of goods offered at Emart Vietnam are domestic goods. Emart Vietnam will contribute to the growth of the local economy, elevate quality, and create a contemporary lifestyle for Vietnamese people by giving value to consumers via quality items, competitive rates, and devoted services while concentrating on developing with partners.
Speaking at the Customer Conference with over 500 suppliers on August 5, 2022, Emart Vietnam's partner, Mr Chun Byung Ki - General Director of THISO Retail, stated that Emart Vietnam is urgently implementing the plan to open two more hypermarkets in 2022: Emart Sala Thu Thiem (October 2022) and Emart Phan Huy Ich (November 2022). (December 2022). Simultaneously, establish a strategy to reach 20 supermarkets in the following five years, by 2026, with a revenue of USD 1 billion, becoming Vietnam's number one hypermarket with market share.
Emart Sala Thu Thiem is a hypermarket in THISO Mall with a floor size of almost 6,000m2. Emart Sala Thu Thiem strives to deliver innovative and unique shopping experiences for high-end residential neighbourhoods and consumers in the surrounding region, in addition to great facilities inside the commercial complex.
Emart Phan Huy Ich in Go Vap District is also part of the THISO Retail Hypermarket Center, which is being created with the largest supermarket and parking area in Ho Chi Minh City to become an appealing and new destination for people in Tan Phu, Go Vap, and District 12.

Emart Vietnam focuses on updating its product range in fresh items, food and drinks, fashion, cosmetics, and... provider of quality products in addition to investing in infrastructure. All clients have the chance to participate in sales with Emart by clearly and openly disclosed standards, as well as business ethics regulations that are rigorously monitored and adhered to.
Furthermore, Emart Vietnam focuses on and invests substantially in Online Shopping applications, with the purpose of better servicing online shopping clients in locations where Emart Vietnam is present.
Emart Vietnam, in particular, will put into operation the Automated Pick-up System, which was substantially invested in and first emerged in Vietnam, to assist in promptly picking up items and ensuring delivery to clients within a 5km radius within 1 hour. When it is operational, this technology will be used in Emart Go Vap, as well as Emart Sala and Emart Phan Huy Ich.
