DNHN - During the four-day National Day holiday beginning on September 2, Hai Phong and Quang Ninh welcomed tens of thousands of vacationers. In comparison to the same period in 2022, the number of visitors to Quang Ninh increased by nearly 50 per cent

According to a report from the Hai Phong Department of Tourism, during the four-day holiday, the Hai Phong tourism industry welcomed and served a total of 250,000 tourists, 8,500 of whom were international and 241,500 of whom were domestic.
The majority of visitors to Hai Phong are concentrated in Do Son, Cat Ba, and the inner city (Food tour). In the first two days of the holiday, the number of tourists staying overnight on the bays of the Cat Ba archipelago reached 90 to 95 per cent of room capacity; the overnight cruise product on Lan Ha Bay attracts tourists with its high affordability, particularly international tourists.
To serve tourists at the Got ferry station, all employees and officials have been mobilised alongside the ferries. However, compared to previous years, the Ferry Wharf's circulation is quite good this year, and there is no ferry congestion for several hours. A ferry terminal official in Got stated.
It is estimated that approximately 130,000 tourists will visit Do Son during the holiday season, with room occupancy reaching 90%, an increase of 40,000 from the previous year.
Since September 2, Do Son has opened Thuy Tinh Water Park in the Doi Rong International Tourist Area. This has attracted many visitors to Do Son. Domestic and international tourists' sightseeing, relaxation, and entertainment needs are met.
Localities in Quang Ninh utilised numerous festival activities, and cultural, sporting, and commercial events to attract a large number of people during the holiday on September 2nd. Residents and visitors.
Provincial Exhibition Fair; "The Sound of Heritage" programme at Valley Beach Club; Sports dance programme at the 25/2 Square attracted more than 4,000 participants, cheering; Art programme "Hello Autumn" at Hong Hac Chill Bar beach, Bai Tu Long public beach.
According to the Department of Tourism statistics, during the four-day National Day holiday on September 2 (from September 1 to September 4), Quang Ninh welcomed approximately 382,000 visitors, a nearly 50 per cent increase over the same period in 2022. The estimated number of international visitors to Quang Ninh is 24,500, a fourfold increase from the same period in 2020. Approximately 151,000 guest turns were recorded, an increase of 20%. The total tourism revenue reached approximately VND 788 billion, an increase of 31%.
The average hotel room occupancy rate is 56%, with 4 to 5-star hotels and hotels with 80 or more rooms averaging 75 to 100%. Several hotels, including the FLC Grand Ha Long Hotel, Premier Village Ha Long Hotel, Royal Ha Long Hotel, Loi Lai International Hotel, Hong Van Hotel, Majestic Mong Cai Hotel, and Ha Long Palace Hotel, have 100% room occupancy.
On this occasion, Quang Ninh organises 12 cultural and sports events in all localities in the province, aiming to attract 15 million tourists in 2023. The majority of tourists concentrate on tourist areas and attractions such as Ha Long Bay, the Quang Ninh Museum, and Ocean Park...
