Complete 30 km of National Highway 24 connecting Kon Tum with Quang Ngai

DNHN - - On July 13, Mr Phan Muoi, Deputy Director of Kon Tum Department of Transport, said that the construction unit is completing the last items such as installing signs, railings, road markings and drainage ditches, etc. preparing to hand over to the Ministry of Transport.
Highway 24 is over 168 km long (via Quang Ngai 68 km, Kon Tum 100 km) and is a particularly important traffic route, the lifeblood connecting the North Central Highlands provinces with Dung Quat industrial park, economic centres, major seaports such as Da Nang, Quang Ngai, Binh Dinh.

Component project 2 - National Highway 24 is invested by the Department of Transport of Kon Tum, started in July 2020. The project starts from Hieu commune, Kon Plong district to Kon Tum city. The purpose of the project is to widen over 30km of 5-7m-wide roadway to 9-10m.

Most of the upgraded road section goes from Hieu commune, Kon Plong district to Mang Den town. This route has many rugged hills, zigzags and forests. To help vehicles run on the route smoothly and safely, the project has adjusted and straightened about 30 sections with dangerous turns, high altitudes, and large abysses.
Previously, in August 2021, the component 1 project with a length of more than 10 km (the section through Quang Ngai), an investment of more than 150 billion VND, was completed.
