Binh Thuan: Vibe Fest Novaworld Phan Thiet to Host Mega Game Festival

The Game Festival at Vibe Fest 2024, the hottest mega festival in Binh Thuan this Tet holiday, will feature a series of unique folk games from the three regions of Vietnam, providing an ideal opportunity for both adults and children to enjoy a truly meaningful and joyful Tet.

The Vibe Fest mega festival will take place from the 3rd to the 8th day of the Lunar New Year at NovaWorld Phan Thiet, featuring seven festivals with seven different themes: Music Festival; Hip Hop Festival; Game Festival; Water Festival; Circus Festival; Gift Festival; and Food Festival, taking place from morning to evening.

As one of the seven main festivals of Vibe Fest, the Game Festival will surely bring a wide range of emotions to visitors with a series of quintessentially Vietnamese folk games carefully selected from both land and water, suitable for individuals and teams. The Game Festival will allow all family members, especially children, to enjoy a “proper” Tet holiday, taking adults back to their sweet childhood memories through fun folk games.

According to the Vibe Fest organising committee, the convergence of folk games from the three regions of Vietnam will have a special appeal, not only contributing to the lively atmosphere of the spring holiday but also becoming a cultural beauty, imbued with traditional national values. Many of these folk games have become familiar to people from all over the country, such as walking on stilts, crossing a makeshift bamboo bridge, throwing a shuttlecock, balancing on a plank, and crossing a makeshift bamboo bridge over water. A series of games characteristic of the three regions will bring visitors hours of fun and excitement during the first days of the new year.

In addition to the exciting physical games, visitors to the Game Festival will surely love and be captivated by the songs and melodies at the Bai Choi Art Area of Central Vietnam. Bai Choi is a diverse art form that combines music, poetry, acting, painting, and literature and has been officially recognised by UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.

The songs and lyrics about love for parents, the relationship between teachers and students, and the affection between husband and wife… from the Bai Choi Art Area will convey to participants valuable lessons about moral standards, personality, and lifestyle in a very gentle and profound way.

Amid the hustle and bustle of everyday life, the traditional Tet folk games at the Vibe Fest Game Festival NovaWorld Phan Thiet will be an opportunity for visitors to relive their childhood memories, while also creating a “bond” that connects family and friends as they experience the games together.

As the “venue” for the Game Festival and Hip Hop Festival at NovaWorld Phan Thiet, Fantasy World – a complex for entertainment, sports, and team building with a total area of over 42 hectares and a capacity of up to 500,000 people, will officially open to visitors during the 2024 Lunar New Year holiday. This is expected to be a top tourist destination in Binh Thuan this Tet holiday, as it caters to a wide range of services, from entertainment and sports to accommodation, for a variety of customers, from multi-generational families to groups of young people and corporate teams looking for team-building activities to strengthen camaraderie.

Along with the vibrant atmosphere of the Vibe Fest mega festival, Fantasy World will officially “launch” its “awesome” facilities, including Dino Park - a dinosaur park with nearly 100 different types of animatronic dinosaurs, featuring the largest T-rex model in Vietnam; Amazon Park - a complex with many modern and traditional games, offering a colourful experience for all generations; and Safari Café – an impressive semi-wild safari café concept, where visitors can enjoy coffee from a height while observing and interacting with over 100 animals.
