BIDV Retains Ranking in the Top 50 Outstanding Vietnamese Companies for 2023

DNHN - BIDV has been listed in the Top 500 Largest Enterprises in Vietnam (VNR500) for 14 years consecutive, and it has also been listed in the Top 10 of the Top 50 Excellent Vietnamese Enterprises (Top 50 Vietnam the Best) for 7 years consecutive.
On January 18, 2024, in Ho Chi Minh City, the Vietnam Report Joint Stock Company and VietnamNet Newspaper announced the ranking.
The ranking aims to recognise and honour the Top 50 Enterprises with excellent revenue in Vietnam while maintaining stable and sustainable business performance throughout the period 2022-2023. With their efforts to overcome difficulties as well as their contributions and companionship with the community over the past time, the members of the Top 50 Excellent Vietnamese Enterprises are important factors contributing to stabilising the economy, creating opportunities for Vietnam to affirm and rise.
In 2023, despite facing many difficulties, challenges and market fluctuations, with the efforts, determination and solidarity of the entire system, BIDV’s operations took place safely, smoothly and effectively. By December 31, 2023, BIDV’s total assets reached VND 2,260 trillion; continuing to maintain its position as the largest commercial joint-stock bank in Vietnam; Consolidated profit before tax reached over VND 27,400 billion; paid to the state budget over VND 6,200 billion, among the leading enterprises in paying corporate income tax; ensuring the rights of shareholders and income for employees. In addition, BIDV also plays the role of a State-owned commercial bank, vigorously implementing solutions to support businesses, society and the community; Proactively reducing interest rates and fees to support businesses and people with an amount of up to VND 5,900 billion…
With the achieved results, in 2023, BIDV was recognised by many prestigious domestic and international organisations: Ranked in the Global 2000 largest listed companies in the world (Forbes Magazine); Top 50 Best Listed Companies (Forbes Vietnam Magazine); Top 500 Largest Enterprises in Vietnam, Top 50 Excellent Enterprises in Vietnam and Top 10 Prestigious Commercial Banks in Vietnam (Vietnam Report); Honoured as the Leading Digital Solution Provider Bank in Vietnam (Asiamoney Magazine); Best Bank Serving FDI Customers in Vietnam (Asian Banking & Finance Magazine); 09 IT application products won Sao Khue Awards (VINASA).
The VNR500 ranking is based on the results of independent research and evaluation according to international standards of the Vietnam Report. The VNR500 ranking criteria are based on revenue, total assets, total number of employees, profit and other indicators such as ROA, ROE, corporate media reputation… With a transparent approach and the advice of prestigious domestic and international experts, the VNR500 ranking results announced by Vietnam Report are highly appreciated by the community, affirming its prestige over the past 17 years in Vietnam.
