Tran Hung Dao's real name is Tran Quoc Tuan, and he was born in 1228 as a member of the Tran Dynasty's noble family. Tran Quoc Tuan was renowned from a young age for his good looks, exceptional intelligence, knowledge of ancient times, mastery of literature and martial arts, and complete confluence of good virtues: Humanity, Righteousness, Rites, Wisdom, and Faith. Tran Hung Dao is a shining example of patriotism and the rising spirit of the national liberation struggle.

Our country was invaded by the Mongol Yuan army in the thirteenth century. Under the shrewd leadership of Tran Hung Dao, the army and people of the Tran Dynasty overcame countless obstacles and challenges by employing the strategy "take less to fight more, use the weak to defeat the strong." Three times, tens of thousands of powerful Mongol invaders were defeated, resulting in resounding victories. Tran Hung Dao's name is associated with glorious victories at Dong Bo Dau, Ham Tu, Tay Ket, Chuong Duong, Van Kiep, and Bach Dang Giang... and is forever the source of Vietnamese national pride in construction history. Emperor Tran Thanh Tong composed the Sinh bi epitaph praising the Great King's merits. When Hung Dao Dai Vuong became ill and was on his deathbed, King Tran Anh Tong came to see him and inquired about the country's preservation strategy. The Great Vuong responded, "My king agrees, my brothers are in harmony, and the entire nation contributes to this effort... Wait until you gain strength." On August 20, 1300, he passed away at the Van Kiep palace. The court ordained him as "Grand Master of the Kingdom of Workers Vu Hung Dao Dai Vuong," and the Dai Viet people venerated him as "Holy Tran Cuu Thien Vu De," erecting a temple to honour his great contributions.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee of Hai Duong emphasised that, in addition to the main rituals, the Con Son - Kiep Bac Autumn Festival of 2023 will be upgraded and accompanied by numerous special events, the first time the Festival will be held. 2023 Chi Linh - Hai Duong.
